The Handbag Book: 400 Designer Bags That Changed Fashion

Originally saw the book in Homegoods for $59-$69. Great little addition to the coffee table. If you’re into handbags - grab it. Beautiful pictures and a quick history lesson on some of the most famous fashion houses!

It was a good book -- very thick and filled with color photographs of many handbags. However the author focuses a lot on newer, indie brands and less on the actual 'big names' in handbags. Of course the trinity - Chanel, Hermes, and LV get quite a few pages, but major designers like Celine (1 paragraph), Valentino (no mention at all), and YSL (1 paragraph) are left off for names that you've never heard and will never buy or care about. I wouldn't pay full price, that's what I'd say. If you want to own it look at it first (library maybe?) and decide if you need it.

I like the way the purses was displayed in the book. I like the colors and how they were arranged to help give the designer more flavor!
