Ancient History Wonders Dig Kit
This ancient history dig kit was so much fun for my kids. They made a mess, but it was easy to clean. Very educational and lots of fun.

Excellent kit, but some incorrect facts.
My son (7) loves these kits where you get to dig out rewards (gemstones, fake fossils, pirate booty, etc.) and this one is one of the best he's had. He loved that there were two things in each globe and that they were real rocks and solid resin sculptures. He also liked matching the items he found with the cards and pages in the book that tell about the locations and items. He has decided to "pace" himself at only opening two globes per day so he can make it last. Pretty good self-control for a seven-year-old, I think! The only thing he wasn't wild about was the spray bottle. I think he wasn't patient enough to let the water soak in to make the globes easier to bust open. That didn't stop him though, he just busted them open without them being softened. My only issue with the set is that some of the facts on the cards are incorrect. I noticed two right away, which makes me question some of the other facts presented. One card says Europe is the only continent completely in the Northern Hemisphere, which isn't true. North America is also completely in the Northern Hemisphere. Also, the Asia card says the Maldives is the smallest country in the world. It's actually the 9th smallest. These countries are smaller (from smallest to largest): Vatican City, Monaco, Nauru, Tuvalu, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Marshall Islands, Saint Kitts and Nevis. Everything else I read I 'think' is true, but I'm not completely sure. There's also a mix of American and Eastern terms (sometimes miles are listed and sometimes kilometers, sometimes we see Mount Everest and others Mount Qomolangma, etc.). This isn't a huge deal but could be confusing to some.Overall though this is a great set. Perfect for sparking some curiosity to learn more and a wealth of information and fun souvenirs.

Fun toy
My nephew really enjoyed these digging up toys. If they get inpatient run it under water and squeeze it. Works like a charm.
