Easy to program and works great
Bought 4 of these keys for my family. Works great. Here is how to program-To reach your garage door opener mounted on the ceiling, you will need a ladder or a stepping stool. There are two devices involved:a) Garage door opener: Mounted on the ceiling of the garageb) Remote control device: The one you bought from AmazonClose the garage door and use the stepping stool to get close to the garage door opener on the ceiling.Step 0: Garage Door Opener: Locate and note the color of the programming button on your garage door opener. Mine is YELLOW and made by Liftmaster. This remote will not work with a RED or ORANGE programming button. You should have already verified this before buying the remote, hence it is step 0.Step 1: Remote Control Device: On the keychain remote controller, press and hold the 'B' and 'C' buttons simultaneously. The blue LED on the remote will remain lit/ON. Release both the buttons at the same time; blue LED remains lit.Step 2: Remote Control Device: Now press and release the button you want to program (e.g., button 'C'). Do this once for yellow, twice or more for other colors. The blue LED will blink momentarily and then remain lit. Next, press any OTHER button except the one you are programming (e.g., press 'A', 'B', or 'D', but not 'C'). The LED will turn OFF.Step 3: Garage Door Opener: Press the programming button (yellow on my Liftmaster) on the garage door opener. The yellow programming LED will turn on indicating it is ready to pair with your key remote.Step 4: Remote Control Device: Press the button you are programming (in my case, 'C'). The light on the garage door opener will BLINK (turn on and off). Now, if you press 'C' (or the button you programmed), the garage door will open. The remote uses CR2032 battery..

Great Universal Garage Door Keypad
This garage door opener worked just as claimed to control my two garage doors from different brands (Chamberlain and Overhead Door). The one source of frustration was how literal the instructions were. During the pairing process, you have to repeatedly press and release the enter button until the remote pairs with your garage opener. The Chamberlain paired with just one press, so I thought you just had to hold the enter button until it paired. That didn't work for the Overhead door. I tried every possible combination of brands to enter my PIN code until I realized my mistake. I would also echo another complaint that the battery it shipped with didn't work, so plan on having a spare 9 volt battery for the unit. Once programmed, it works flawlessly.

Short Battery Life
Ok, first of all, when I received the item, the battery that it came with did not work. You need a small screwdriver to change the battery and when you remove the screws, it disconnects all of the pieces, so you have to make sure that you put it back together correctly. Second, it seems like the batteries do not last long at all, like maybe a month of regular use. Overall, it's easy to set up and convenient and slick, but it's cheap and you get what you pay for.

Works great!
Very easy to use and works well. I will say read the instructions carefully. Its easy to skip a step or jump ahead. I only have it hooked up to my garage so I don't know how many systems it works on.I've had it for a few months now and I suspect it'll last many years just like most garage clickers.Good value for the price.

Missing step in instructions
Missing step in instructions to not screw on pad until after programming because main garage door must be shut in order to program it.
