Officially my new go-to baby gift!
Love this baby duck bath! Bought it for a bath themed baby shower gift and it exceeded expectation! Very easy to inflate but i highly recommend using an automatic / electric balloon inflator, it’s sturdy, and adorable. Nearly all the bath items i used to fill the interior and the exterior decorations were purchased separately from amazon (headband, bubbles, “pearl” necklaces). From a purchasing experience, this was a great way to buy several items on the baby registry from 1 merchant and streamline everything for the gift recipients. Stop debating it - just buy it! In addition to showing up with the most adorable gift at the baby shower, the new parents will also be able to use the inflatable duck bath once the baby can hold up their head. So much more practical than a basket and way more fun!

Great for travel
This tub is adorable, perfect size, easy to travel with and put away. Made bath time less stressful when my little one was all over the place.

Love it but be cautious
Love this but realized a few things after using it:1) Hard to inflate. Def use a hand pump; electrical would be even better2) It doesn’t leave a lot of room on the sides once the baby is inside, so I doubt it would be a 2 year old (package says its for up to 24months but our 9m is just squeezing in and we prob wont be able to fit her after 12 months)3) Use your own thermometer to measure water temperature. The temperature gauge on this thing is WAY off! Package says it should read “Hot” at 105 but it didn’t do until 110 degrees, which is BURNING HOT for babies. The package also says babies should bathe in 90-100 degree temperatures, so why does it have to be way above 100 degrees before it registers as “hot”? Dangerous. Don’t rely on it and use your own method of measuring the right temp for your baby.4) It fits in a standard bath tub while not leaving much room around it. This is fine, but just a note here on how big this thing is when it’s inflated!5) Overall it’s adorable and we love it. I would probably still recommend it for travel when your baby is under 12months old.

Bath Time Just Got More Fun
Bath time for babies can be a dangerous adventure, there are threats like drowning and head injuries to be concerned with. The Munchkin White Hot Inflatable Duck Tub address both of those concerns for me, the inflatable duck protects a babies fragile head from the hardness of the tub and it holds very little water to help avoid the drowning scenario. The inflatable duck has it’s own built in plug drain to allow the water to escape and a suction cup on the base of the tail end of the duck to allow for easy, temporary storage of the unit. The main reason I bought this product was for the White Hot Safety Disc that is in the tub area next to the drain plug, this helps so much for a new parent to know when water is too hot for a babies skin. The disc will turn white with the word HOT showing in red when the bath water is too warm for a baby and will turn solid blue when the water is safe for a baby to be bathed in it. You can purchase this wonderful inflatable safety duck tub through this link Munchkin Safety Duck Tub for $10.95 (at the time of this review). This was specially important for me as I purchased it for a gift for the mother of my granddaughter, she is a first time parent and has a lot to learn about taking care of an infant. The contoured headrest allows for the rinsing of a babies hair, if you ever tried this without leaning your babies head against something then you will know how hard this can be. They state on the box that this is a product for babies age 6 to 24 months old but I think it can be used with a newborn baby as well, this is just my opinion. This is the reason that you should always read a products safety information rather then trust a strangers advice in a product review, not everyone will see the world as you do.The bottom of the duck tub is inflatable as well so your baby does not have to sit uncomfortably on a hard surface to be bathed, there are two separate stems to blow up, one for the main body and one for the bottom of the bath tub area. The inflatable tub being shaped as a duck and the bright yellow coloring of the duck adds to the appeal to a baby. The duck is a symbol that most youth love and associate with fun and water, while the vibrant yellow coloring targets the eye sensory of a child. This is a great baby & toddler tub for both the child and the parent, it allows for easy access, storage and can be used in multiple locations. You don’t only have to use it in the tub, you can bath your child in any room of the house if you would like and as your child grows the duck can be used a flotation device if proper supervision is present. This tub offers endless hours of fun, your child would love this inflatable duck even if you inflate it with no water added, just toss it on the floor and watch your child climb and play. I bought this product as a gift for my future granddaughter because past experience with children has taught me that she will love it.White Owl

Our son is no longer afraid of the duck (Updated)
Our 7-month-old son outgrew his infant tub so we transitioned him to this Munchkin inflatable duck tub and it works fine for the most part, except for one big issue...he's scared of it. We used the Kel Gar Snug Tub with our first baby and loved it, but decided to try this duck tub with our second baby since it's cheaper and cuter. Unfortunately our son doesn't think it's cute. I don't know what it is about the duck, but he's terrified every time we put him near it. This makes bath time a little stressful since it takes him a while to calm down for his bath.As far as functionality though, it's very useful for when baby is too big for the infant tub, but too small for the real tub. It's easy to inflate and is a good size. The bottom is inflatable and provides added comfort for baby. It's also quicker and safer to fill up than a whole tub.Overall it's a decent product especially for the inexpensive price, so I'm hoping he grows to like it. If not, we'll be going back to the Kel Gar snug tub.Update 11/26/16: It took a while, but our baby finally warmed up to the duck. He's no longer afraid of it and actually loves bath time now.
