Great addition to Ticket to Ride!
My family loves Ticket to Ride (and all its iterations) and these railcars make the game even more enjoyable! There is great attention to detail and they make the tactile feel of the games all the more fun. These would be a great investment if you find yourself playing Ticket to Ride a lot - just like we do!

For the Diehard Ticket to Ride Enthusiast
As a huge Ticket to Ride fan, these tokens are a wonderful addition to my game night. They are indeed pricy - no getting around that - but there is a lot of cleverness in the different designs, and there is an obvious quality to the production. I am particularly impressed by the Upstate Cattle Farms (red cars) with the little cows looking out the window. They are so intricately detailed, and yet do not seem as fragile as they could be. There's five different designs with five different aesthetics, ranging different time periods (although most are early-to-mid 20th century). There's a lot going with them. The one thing I'll say is that while the overall quality of these is very good, not all the sets really stack up. The Neptune (blue cars), in particular, are exceedingly plain, and from a distance may be mistaken for the normal TtR train cars. I'd probably also be as critical of the Urban Freight (black cars) if they didn't have the differently-colored graffiti on the side (which does make them somewhat unique amongst the set). The tins these are contained in fit into the normal TtR box, albeit a bit snugly. If you remove the original pieces, the box should close fine, but if you leave them in, you may have to finagle a bit in order to have the lid sit flush. The addition of the stackable point token is nice, but too small to really take into account for this review. The overall question is, are these worth the $85 that is the current going price (more than 3x what Ticket to Ride currently costs)? Honestly, it depends on you. If you own Ticket to Ride and play it on the regular, I think these are a good way of freshening up the aesthetics, and potentially giving yourself some roleplay ideas if you really want to dive in deep. But know that if you get them, you'll be getting some high-quality tokens.

Too expensive for what you get.
Underwhelming for the price. Yes, you get different train cars for playing Train games, but the designs were less cool in person, also the advertisement made it seem like you would be getting metal trains and these are plastic. For $84 I could have had a friend 3d print and paint some cooler trains.

Great addition to my TTR games
I have been a fan of the board game Ticket To Ride for years and so are my kids. I backed The Little Plastic Train Company's first crowd funding project a few years ago and they were great. This set of Remarkable Railcars was their second. I ordered this set to add to my collection and I'm glad I did.The set includes five different train cars, each with a different theme and their own storage tin. The five tins come in a nice box that holds them all. Each car is unique in its theme; a graffiti car, cattle car, coal car, glass topped car and a luxury passenger car. None of the cars come with an engine car. I do wish they was even a single one included but, for my purposes they will still work. There is also a player marker in matching colors to their respective trains. These train cars really add a touch of uniqueness to our TTR games compared to the plain, solid color cars the game comes with. It is very clear whose trains are whose plus it gives it a sense of fun when you get to put them down too.The only reason for my 4 star review is their price. At $85, they are very pricey for "bling" for your board games, especially as it is more expensive than Ticket to Ride itself. If you are a hardcore player, or just a train lover, you won't regret the purchase though. They are well made, uniquely designed and do add some flair to our games.

Pricey but Great
If you play Ticket to Ride a lot, or other train games, then this will be a great addition to your collection that really adds a new visual element to the game. The attention to detail from the tin for each set down to the trains themselves is remarkable. For instance, the cattle trains have little cows sticking their heads out the side, the coal trains have great looking coal and a WV-themed tin, etc. This is not a content expansion that will add rules to your game but it definitely upgrades the standard pieces. These particular pieces fit very well on the TtR board spaces and the score markers are stackable wooden pieces. Absolutely love this new set and recommend it to anyone that likes to bling their games. Highly recommend!

Most of the railcars are great, the price is ridiculous
I like all of these railcars except the light blue passenger car, that car feels like a copout and has almost no detail which resulted in 1 star drop. I especially like the cargo cars covered in different graffiti, and the animal cars are fun. The scenery car with the clear top is a nice addition.Unfortunately, the price of these cars is ridiculous and the main reason for 3/5 stars. They cost more than double what the base game costs. You can even get the official Ticket to Ride Deluxe train set for almost half the price of these. You're essentially paying a premium for the tin containers, which look very nice, but I don't know if they're worth the extremely high price. I'd rather have just the train cars without the tins for $40 or less.
