This Korean toner by VT Cosmetics is my new favorite toner that I've ever tried!Ones I've tried in the past: Murad and Thayer's rose witch hazel aloe vera toner, amongst others.Love that it's fragrance-free (no unnecessary harsh perfumes).It's truly hydrating, while boasting the following powerhouse ingredients: TXA, Niacinamide, and Glutathione.To note: Niacinamide helps build keratin, a protein that maintains skin health. It's also been shown to make your skin stronger, smoother and brighter. Niacinamide is used to treat acne and can help nourish and protect your skin.Tranexamic Acid (TXA) can reduce the appearance of dark spots, sun spots, and acne scars. It can also treat melasma, a common skin condition that causes brown or gray patches on the face.More benefits:-Improves skin barrier: TXA can strengthen the skin's outermost layer, which helps keep moisture in and irritants out. This can reduce symptoms of rosacea, a condition that damages the skin barrier.-Reduces redness: TXA can reduce redness and the number of blood vessels in the skin.-Protects from UV rays: TXA can protect the skin from ultraviolet rays, unlike other lightening agents like hydroquinone.-Treats acne: TXA can treat acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.Glutathione works by neutralizing free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can damage cells and contribute to aging.Glutathione:-Helps cells get rid of metabolic waste-Helps activate enzymes and remove toxins from the body, and helps protect against environmental stress, while also reducing melanin production (so less dark spots).For those who have never used a toner before:This is step #2 to do after cleansing, and before moisturizing, to get rid of excess oil, dirt, skin cells that were still left behind after cleaning as well as help tighten pores before the moisturizer is applied.For me, it just feels good to not have moisturizer get clogged into pores that were just opened from warm water when cleansing in step one (even if you use cold water after the warm water), so that alone with tightened pores helps reduce acne.Update: my pores are looking smaller after 4 days use of this toner (hooray!).The toner comes in a large bottle, so I'm happy it will last me a good amount of time.I believe it's easily worth the $22. It feels refreshing and cool, doesn't dry my skin out, and doesn't burn (unlike many astringent toners); my skin feels amazing with it (in my video, hilariously, I didn't even realize how long I kept applying the toner, which is very unlike me, just because I loved the way it makes my skin feel) and I can feel it working to remove the dirt and oil simultaneously. It comes in a squirt bottle for cotton balls or rounds.It certainly does make my skin look glowy and more even toned, and helps the skin look less dull. And this was only after 2 days use. Can't wait to see how it does with a really good moisturizing day cream and night cream (right now I'm just using classic cocoa butter) after 30 days.I hope this brand continues making this forever, b/c I'll be looking for it once mine runs out.

I haven’t used toner in a long time, but I decided it was time to try it again as part of my skincare routine. The toners of the past tended to tingle, so at least I felt they were doing something. This toner doesn't tingle, so I’m unsure if it’s as effective as it claims. I contacted the seller because my bottle said May help to care against melanin while others i’ve seen online say Defense care against melanin and they said it is a legitimate product! I’ve been using this for several weeks and I feel like it’s hydrating.

This is completely clear and no real discernible scent to it. It feels like water going onto your face, and I didn’t experience any stinging, burning, tingling or irritation. This was great for my sensitive skin. I have only been using it for a few weeks, but I have already noticed some of my darker, sun damage freckles don’t look as obvious.

I have been using this twice daily for about a week now, I haven't seen much of a difference in my skin texture, nor a boost in glow. It feels like an ordinary toner when applied that dries quickly, if you'r looking for something simple this could be good for you. I was hoping for more of a glowing boosting effect, since my skin gets pretty dry and dull in the winter time, and this didn't really do much, but everyones skin is also different, I wouldn't recommend it for someone with drier skin like mine, I think it would be better for someone that has sensitive skin because of its simplicity and ingredients!

I really like how this facial toner feels on my face. It doesn't burn or make my face feel dry/tight. It dries quick and there's no sticky, heavy residue feeling afterwards, it feels like nothing is on my skin, which is how a runner should feel when it dries. I've been using the key ingredients on my face for over a year now (hyaluronic acid, tranexnemic acid and niacinamide) but in 3 separate products. This reduces the time spent on my skin care routine and I know these ingredients are effective for my skin type. I would definitely recommend a patch test before using, especially if you're not used to using TA or niacinamide. My only complaint is that I wish the percentages of each active ingredient were listed.

This is a nice, gentle toner. It's clear, unscented, and easy on the skin. It would be great for people with sensitive skin and gentle enough to use daily.

This toner has the perfect balance between cleansing my skin and leaving it hydrated and moisturized. I have sensitive skin so I greatly appreciate that it is fragrance-free and didn't cause any negative skin reactions. It's also loaded with star ingredients such as tranexamic acid, niacinamide, glutathione, squalene, and Ceramide NP. After using a harsh toner for years and wrecking my skin barrier, this toner has helped to undo that damage and soothe my skin.
