Great price, big-eye, true blunt needle.It is very sturdy but slightly too thick comparing to the Johh James one. Still great value. I use it on leatherworks.

This is what I needed for my needlepoint project. Multiple needles ready to go.

These needles meet the need.

These needles are supposed to be blunt tip needles but they have a very sharp point. You can see the sharp point when you look up close at the tip of the needle, and you can certainly FEEL the sharp point when you accidentally stab yourself with it while trying to sew with black yarn.There is one other feature of these needles that makes them both great and terrible at the same time. The eye of the needle is extremely narrow. It was very difficult to get my worsted weight yarn through the eye. However, once it was there, it stayed put well. The narrow eye becomes a plus when you are sewing with the yarn, because the eye of the needle does not stretch the stitches.

The needles are designed well enough (blunt tip) to allow a saddle stitch without catching the thread. However, the eye of the needle seems fairly weak. I broke three needles right at the eye juncture to the needle stem in a short period of time (in all fairness though, I was stitching through 5-7oz leather with very tight punched holes). I have had other needles in the past that have held up much better, but these are a good quality for the price.

Needles are great for plastic canvas, but I had to find a case for them. The plastic cork top they have for the tube is too big in diameter and the tube was cracked several inches down and useless.
