Nice little veggie scrubber
Nice for cleaning dirt & grime on tough veggies. Need to use extra caution on the more tender veggies, though. The bristles are sturdy enough to take the skin off of potatoes, if you scrub hard. It works so well that I bought one for my daughter.

No plastics!
Wanted something easy to clean and sturdy enough for carrots, radishes, and potatoes. This fits the bill.

Love it!
Put this to use immediately to scrub carrots & potatoes & apples. Perfect! I wonder how I got along without it. The bristles are sturdy, & lots of them--and the little loop is great for hanging it up.

Bought this to replace kitchen sponges - It works very well - 4 Month Update
Quick version (after 4 months of use): Still seems like new. I scrub glass, pots and pans, and cast iron. Holds soap decently. No problems in the dishwasher so far. Food debris does get caught in the bristles, and I have to tap it out.Ok, so I got annoyed with always having to restock kitchen sponges. I did a bunch of looking around on the internet for good alternatives and ended up here. For me, it was a quality of life upgrade. I feel like l either always had a ratty sponge, or had it them on my list of things to pick up.After 4 months of daily or use, things to know:How I use it: For just a few after dinner dishes, a few drops of soap get me through a bout 4 plates if I'm careful not to rinse the soap off of it. For a bigger load of dishes, the optimal thing to do is use a small amount of soap in a side container large enough to dip the scrubber into. This way you can re-soap the scrubber as needed and waste nothing. I save my cast iron till the end, get all the soap out of the bristles and then give the cast iron a rub down.Cleaning/Food Debris: Sometimes, especially with rice or eggs, I notice a lot of food debris caught up inside all the bristles. It comes out with some coaxing by tapping against the sink and rinsing. Some times I add a couple drops of soap to it, and rub it together in my hands as if it were a bar of soap. I feel like this is a decent way to sanitize it and wash out debris. I usually throw it in with a load of dishes after a few weeks of use, but I suspect you can do this is little or as often as you'd like. How it's holding up: I've had it for about 4 months, and it seems like new still.

Love this for cleaning cast iron pans, not for nonstick
I love that this scrubber has replaced my smelly sponge. It is gentle enough to scrub my Le Creuset enameled cast iron Dutch oven without scratching and strong enough to scrub the food bits off of my Lodge cast iron skillets without stripping the seasoning. I am skeptical about its use on nonstick pans. I have only used it once on my Calphalon nonstick skillet and while I wouldn’t say there were deep scratches on it (like you get from metal utensils), I feel like there might be some smaller micro scratches to the nonstick surface. This probably will prevent me from using this on nonstick in the future, which is fine because I rarely use it for anything other than a fried egg every so often. If I muster the courage to try again on a nonstick, I’ll update this review. But overall, it has been a great all-purpose scrubber in the kitchen.

Great for Root Vegetables. Stays Soapy.
I would not have considered this Tawashi vegetable scrub brush made of coconut fibers if it were not recommended by so many product testers. I have always used plastic bristles on my potatoes and root vegetables –and this thing looks prickly. But it's inexpensive so I gave it a try. The brush is about 3.75 x 3 x 2 inches in size. It has a small steel loop for hanging. The bristles are tightly-bound coconut fibers that don't prick skin or fall apart. I mostly use this on potatoes and it does an excellent job. I haven't experienced any shedding yet. What I like the most is that one drop of dish detergent lasts for a whole batch of potatoes. I never need to reapply soap to the brush, even if I'm using it under running water. Plastic brushes allow the soap to wash out quickly. The Tawashi brush doesn't waste soap; the dense fibers hold onto those suds. I don't know how long brushes of this type last, but I like it. The bristles are too stiff for soft-skinned fruits and vegetables, however. I use a silicone scrubber for those. Made in Japan.

If you think they are sending three, they are not. You get one.
It's only $6 and it is natural bristles. I guess it works fine. But I thought they were sending the three brushes as pictured. Nope.

Tawashi

Believe the Hype!
Got this based on the recommendations over the years in Bon Appetit magazine. Wasn't really sure what to expect but the price was right and OH MY GOD they weren't kidding. This thing is amazing. Perfect for cleaning pots and pans. I use it to scrub down my All Clad stainless steel skillet and it's sturdy enough to remove any baked on spots but gentle enough that it won't damage the pan itself.Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Efficient and non-damaging
This brush was recommended for cleaning my new set of dishes, and I'm not disappointed with the purchase. The brush is effective, quite stiff but not abrasive. I recommend it for washing dishes that are prone to scratching.
