Philips Hue Lily White & Color Outdoor Spot Light Base kit (Hue Hub Required), 3 Spot Lights with Power Supply + Mount, Works with Alexa, HomeKit & Google Assistant

I ordered this base kit with 3 lights from Amazon on October 5, 2018. I finally received them yesterday (11/27/18). It wasn't Amazon's fault, as apparently they have been out of stock from Philips for a while. I've been checking Philips website for the last 6 weeks and they still show "Out of Stock" on their website. I was amazed that Amazon was able finally deliver this order!I love the lights. They are very easy to setup and the ability to change the light colors is great (I also have a number of other Philips Hue lights inside my home). We were originally looking at getting a professional landscape company to install outdoor lights for us, but their estimate was over $2k. The price of these lights are a great value.I first wanted to try just 3 lights to make sure I like them. Now that I've tried them and am happy, I really need to get 5 more lights to complete my outdoor lighting in front of the house. Unfortunately, they are not available to order on Amazon now and they are not available on the Philips website either. Perhaps Philips just has more demand than they can supply. I emailed Philips customer service last week to inquire about new stock availability, but no response yet. Anyway, I hope more come availability soon, as they are great lights and would be nice to complete my home project.March 4, 2019 - UpdateI was finally able to order more of these lights on Amazon in December 2018. I now have 11 lights total in front of the house (2 new pictures added). I've been using these now for 3 months and they work great. I use the Sunset routine so they come on every night at sunset, and then I have them turn off automatically at 10pm. I try different color schemes every now and then just for variety (and fun). I have gotten some very nice compliments from my neighbors about how much they like the lights.I have seen other reviews complaining about the lights not being bright enough. I agree that the lights are not super bright. However, I was looking for accent lights for my home at night and they are sufficiently bright for my purposes. But if you are looking for lights that will light up an entire area in an open yard, then you may not be satisfied.

I feel like these were a good investment, though maybe a tad bit spendy. We will see how they hold up over time, but for now I love them. Installed about two months prior to writing this. The installation could t have been easier, except that for my particular case I did have to install an additional outlet on the exterior of my house, but I wanted one anyway, so that worked out. They are bright, they come on when they’re told to, and the ability to change the colors is fun, though we won’t use that function but once or twice a year. The only issue I’ve run into is that sometimes...SOMETIMES...they will act up and one won’t change brightness or color with the rest. It’s infrequent, but it happens. I’ve redone my home networking and that may have solved the problem, though. I like that I can fine tune the color temperature of the light to perfectly match the rest of my exterior lighting. That really makes it feel high-end, and helps me justify the price a little.

I've been a huge Hue fan for many years, and this product brings some great lighting functionality to the outdoors. Installation was a breeze, setup in the Hue system was just as simple, and the product just works!Just to clarify some of these 1 star reviews: it's not the fault of the Philips Hue product line...it's the fault of the Amazon product listing at the time of this review. The product listed on Amazon could be either the 1 pack or 3 pack, and the description was the same for both, though the items included in the box was different. It would be more convenient and accurate to 1-Star Amazon's listing instead of the lighting system itself.The 3 pack includes the 3 lights (of course), the power adapter, and extension cords. The single pack just ONLY if you are looking to extend the 3 pack system. Take note, that if you need more than 5 of the lights, an additional power supply will be needed. It supports a max of 5 lights.
