This is the quickest and best fire ant killer I’ve ever encountered. No need to use a lot; a couple tablespoons puts the end to the mound in a day. It’s the only one I’ll use anymore. And I’ve tried many different brands

I tried it on a handful of fire ant mounds in the yard. Within hours, hundreds of dead ant were laying on top and I have seen no more activity at each mound even a week later. It is very easy to use. sprinkle and water, done!

It kills the entire mound. The price is great. I will say that the Ortho brand has finer powder as this brand does tend to clump at times. The Ortho didn't have the same issue with the powder clumping together. But when I see some busy ants around the outside of the house I use this and the ants are dead within an hour or less. My pets also stay away from it; perhaps it has an odor they don't like.

It does the job it is intended to do. It kills ants. It has holes in the top to dispense the dust, but it does tend to pour out more than necessary. It seems to work fairly quickly. I have used restaurant style plastic ketchup bottles with a smaller tip to dispense dust like this before. I find it is easier to use and have control over what I dispense.

In the past I was able to purchase this Bayer fire ant product at a local store (small town), but they are out of stock and not sure when they will get a new shipment, so Amazon to the rescue! :-) As for the product, this really works! Only a little bit is needed for a mount, I use about 1 teaspoon for a small/medium mount, and 2 days later, no more fire ants. I can't see inside the mount, of course, but it claims that it kills the queen and I believe it. Other fire ant killers I used just make the ants leave and go to another place, or to the neighbors, but this really gets rid of them for good.I usually take a little stick (or even my finger) and scratch the top of the mount for a moment to make sure they show up... and boy do they ever... and then take it down into the nest. Just be quick if you use your finger, those little beasties from hell are fast!Wonderful product!!!

I have tried the top 2 brands of fire ant powder and this is the best. The only complaint is the lid. I adjust the flow of the powder by only opening 1 hole on the inside cover. No overpowering odor and starts to work on contact. Another plus it doesn't clump, the powder stays free flowing. I have bought this product for years and will continue to do so. So - if you haven't tried it you should.

Amazed that one application of this powder stopped all activity on a large nest of fire ants!
