This is a good hot iron for my hair type. I don't have overly thin hair nor do I have heavily course hair. It offers ONE heat setting. The technology is to adjust to your hair type. I LOVE it so much more than my Babyblis which I have used for almost 12 years. I only need to go through my hair 1-3 times, depending on what section of my head I'm working on. My hair is smooth and silky. No snagging, pulling. I wrap my hair at night to keep out the kinks, puffiness that can occur when I sleep and when I wake the next morning my hair is silky soft and straight. I am definitely using the hot iron less frequently; 1-2 times a week. For me, it's worth the prices.

I spent quite a few hours on line researching what straightener is the best and why. I watched a few you tube video’s and it came down to this brand and one other. I wasn’t sure if I should get this brand in the gold or platinum but after researching it and considering my hair type which is naturally wavy and fine, I chose the gold. I was so excited when it arrived, I plugged it in and used it right away. I am so happy with this purchase! I sectioned off my hair in 3 sections and it took me under ten minutes to straighten my hair. I thought I would have to go over it a few times like I do with my con air but nope! It makes my hair smooth and shiny and it doesn’t pull or tug my hair. It doesn’t fry my hair... it’s perfect. Worth spending more on this as I will use it daily and I don’t want to skimp on my hair. I have to see it every day and so do others so it’s a great investment!

This is my first GHD flat iron and now I see all the hype. Definitely the best flat iron I’ve ever used — it’s very smooth, doesn’t break my hair, and heats up to the perfect temperature in less than 10 seconds! It’s also aesthetically pleasing which is always a plus.

Purchased nov 6 2020 and just stopped working. Odd that it just stops working for price

I was introduced to GHD in a presentation while in barber/cos many moons ago. The sun has finally risen on my own. Works fine. Not entirely sure if its better than my Chi. I've owned m GHD now for a few months. I'll have to compare while using the same hair products with each straightener. I wear my hair natural, no relaxer nor chemical straightening I blow dry and flat iron straight. It works on my hair type beautifully.

My straightener before was good and did its job, but it just wasn't quite what I wanted. This is the same brand and model my hairdresser uses and I've always loved it and she does too, so I made the purchase. I'm not sorry that I did! The plates are nice and smooth so your hair doesn't get as static-y and frizzy. One heat setting, but that's ok. I definitely recommend using a heat protectant spray. What I love is that i can touch the plastic part to kind of clamp down with my other hand if needed without burning myself. I couldn't do that on my older iron. Also, I love that it turns itself off after 30 minutes. Sometimes I forget to turn it off so that gives me peace of mind. Definitely worth the price!

Wow! This flat iron gives me beautiful shiny hair and no frizz and it flattens in one swipe. I love the fact that you don’t adjust the temperature that is all preset to the safest and best temperature. It heats up in 25 seconds which is great and it has an automatic turn off which is also great. I love this flat iron. Very satisfied.

I've used (and discarded) many pairs of tongs (irons) but these are Great! Easy to use, long cord that's very flexible, easy on/off. Closes tight when equal grip/pressure is applied. My hair is very long and wavy, keeps my hair straight for 7+ days. Worth the $.
