Comparison of digital and mechanical timer. Using both types. The digital timer is new school, whilst the mechanical timer is old school. The digital one is functional only to the point of battery life, and the electronics. The mechanical one has spring winding which perhaps may be a few seconds off either way, however more reliable as it doesn't need battery, an extra cost to performance. If durability is a parameter then the mechanical timer is optimal choice.In this timer (mechanical), winding up clockwise gives rise to the beautiful red band, which is not only pleasing to see, but functional too. The visionary detail is easily understood without any mental effort. Thus said, it personal choice.Recommended.

Doesn't ring. A very soft ring when the timer is up and it's hardly audible. Misleading information provided as well; there is no stand on the back. Overall, didn't prove useful for my needs. Waste of money.
