Merci European Chocolates, Assortment, 8.8-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 2)

Is chocolates are very good And they are the perfect size when you need a little treat. I like the fact that they have a nice variety in the box.

I have had my package for 2 weeks and still get on my amazon where is says the merci is running late. Then UPS emailing me saying they are unable to deliver the package.Yet i already have it. It arrived like on the 18th or something.

I got these same candy from my cousin and love them so I got these for gifts.

These chocolates are fantastic. They are all so rich and delicious. I love them all but the coffee one is my favorite. Even my husband who is not a chocolate lover, like the kids and I, loves them. The hardest thing is not to eat them all. Incidentally when I purchased them a few days ago they were $10.96 for 2, 8.8 ounce boxes, which was very affordable for these rich delights. I had originally purchased them as gifts but there was a shipping delay so I had given other gifts and after trying one couldn't part with them ;-) So, I would highly recommend the purchase.

Very rich, smooth. 1-2 pieces is just the right amount of chocolate at a time. Some of the best tasting chocolate I've had. Nice packaging makes it an attractive gift as well. Perfect for a hostess gift.

The first time I tried this was through my local variety store and the candy was just delicious! The assortments were just to my liking of both dark, white and milk chocolates each one indiviually wrapped with two pieces in each wrapping. I knew this was a holiday item and thought Amazon might carry it. I received my Amazon order this week. Each package though wrapped in a plastic bag, appeared to have sat in a warehouse in the heat. The cardboard box of Merci candies had grease spots all over and when I opened the box, each individual candy looked like it had somehow gotten wet. I decided to taste it and was disappointed. The flavor was barely there and the chocolate itself was "crumbly". My order came as four 8 oz packages. All of the packages looked the same on the outside, like the candies had been compromised. I will send the entire order back. It's a shame because this brand of chocolates is awesome.

I have no complaints about the chocolate. However, the packaging was very poor. The chocolate boxes were not sealed. The boxes were torn into various pieces with the chocolate spilling out everywhere. I personally do not feel comfortable buying food that is unsealed, and the packaging should come as stated.Edited:I was offered another shipment of the product since the packaging on the first was defective. I just received one-pack of the chocolates. Although the package was not sealed (instead, there's a plastic slip) and the box is flimsy and perforates very easily, the chocolates were still in the box. It seems to be that this is just the way the product is, the boxes aren't that great for holding up across long distances. Nonetheless, the chocolate is very good, and I thought that it was very kind of them to offer to send a shipment for free.

It ships quickly and reliably, the packaging is cute and the idea is adorable, but the chocolate is not that great. :/
