Great loom - professional look and premium feel
This loom is holding up very well. I used it to rewrap all the engine block harnesses on my Dodge Magnum 3.5L V6. Unfortunately, this combo kit was the only reasonably priced option to get all sizes. I'd have spent more money buying shorter lengths if I bought it a-la-carte. Take the plunge, and you'll never have to buy any loom again - it's enough to redo several cars.I don't have a hot knife, so I just used a butane lighter to melt the cut ends of the loom so they won't fray (hold it near the flame, not touching).First time I'd worked with the silicone tape - that stuff is amazing for securely terminating the ends of the loom at connectors, breakouts, and junctions. I'm going to buy a roll of that separately as the included bit was enough for my project but not for all this loom that's left.I also purchased a couple rolls of Tesa 51036 textile high-heat harness tape. Because this loom is permeable, and I was replacing some plastic loom sections with it, I wrapped the wires in Tesa tape to seal them off against oil/fluids and give another layer of heat protection. This seemed to be how the factory harnesses were done, anyway...
