So good but pricey
One of my all time favorite sauces from Japan, almost impossible to find in any Asian market. Wish it wasn’t so expensive or I’d purchase more often. It’s amazing with Shabu Shabu of course, but even as a salad dressing it’s delicious.

Great side dip for a hot pot, Shabu Shabu

Yummy!
This is the best ready-made shabu shabu or hot pot sauce. A little pricey but it's worth it. Taste just like the ones you get from restaurants.

Super delicious, esp for hot pot
I always have a bottle of this in the fridge. This sauce is super delicious and my favorite dipping sauce for hot pot. I mix it with chili garlic sauce to make it spicy and it's the best!

Disgustingly Sweet
If you want some real goma dare, this ain't it. It's way too sweet and has a weird taste. I don't know if they added all this sugar because it's sold in the US or because the sugar works as a preservative, but all that sweetness is so inedible that I through this away because I know I'll never eat it.I first came across the sesame goodness of goma dare in 2017 at a Japanese hot pot restaurant in New Haven, Connecticut called "Dashi." My wonderful server told me what it was, then she told me how to make it. I made it, and it was perfect, but the method is a bit much. I've been looking for some goma dare that I could purchase, and came across this. I wish I saved my money. I don't see how anyone would eat this sweet, sugary stuff with their hot pot. Goma dare isn't made with this much sugar and definitely not corn syrup. There are a bunch of great goma dare and kingoma recipes online. But if you don't want to buy all the sauces to make it, you can make a great goma dare for shabu shabu with just two ingredients: mix 2 parts Kenko Creamy Kin Goma Dressing and one part tahini paste or one-half part tahini paste if you want it a little bit more sweet.

Okay goma
It was good but it wasn't great. Still on the hunt to find one that tastes similar to the goma dare you get at shabu shabu.
