Exact fit for my 2003 Escalade
This is the exact replacement for my 2003 Escalade with rear AC. Installation was easy as I had also was replacing my water pump and had lots of clearance. This compressor does not come with bolts or gaskets so keep your old bolts and don't cheap out and reuse the gaskets. Remove the passenger inner wheel well liner to access the compressor. Top bots are easy and require a 15mm socket. Bottom left is tricky as you will need to get a stubby 15mm on the bolt and set the arm to 11o'clock and push down from the top. The bottom right bolt also needs a 15mm but you will need a long handle ratcheting wrench. You will see there is a small line of site where you will just turn it our very slowly. Keep at it and it will come out. This compressor did come prefilled with pag oil so keep the rubber tab in place until the unit is fully installed and you are ready to connect the AC lines. I had a shop charge the system and they said the system held a vacuum and the recharge went just fine. AC Delco has not let me down so I am hopeful for many years of good service.

09 Tahoe with rear ac, working great!
I had the engine of my 09 Tahoe out for a replacement, and decided I might as well tackle the AC compressor and drier while it's out.My 09 Tahoe has rear AC, and this was a perfect match.I replaced this with the drier, and the line filter per factory recommendation.Hardest part of the replacement was the oil balancing, and trying to figure out what type of oil i needed to use. (Pag 46).I ended up buying a tube of OEM for good measure.Tip, with the line filter there is also a screen on the line below it.Mine was in good condition, but i opted to just clean it out really well.I have the system back up and running with the new engine replacement, and everything is going great. My ac system called for 2.5lbs of 134a.And it's nice and cold with it being 100f outside.

Failed AC was 90°F for 2 months. One month return window
This product failed me a few weeks after it was installed. I tried everything from YouTube thinking it couldn't possibly be the compressor that I bought that was suppose to the new AC Delco certified. Come to find out, as my mechanic and I start trying to dial in the problem.. The compressor had no suction. I drove around with 90°F AC for 2 months and I live in Texas.. Pouring sweat because it's blowing heat with even the AC system turned off..I had to buy a cheaper ac compressor from the local auto parts store so I could get a life time warranty. It was past the return date on Amazon... Parts like this I can't buy from Amazon anymore.

DON'T KNOW WHATS UP WITH UNIT, BUT SOME BLACK STUFF IS OOZING OUT OF THE PULLEYS.
WELL PROBLEMS HAVE DEVELOPED WITH THIS UNIT,DON'T KNOW WHATS UP WITH UNIT, BUT SOME BLACK STUFF IS OOZING OUT OF THE PULLEYS. HAVE SUBMITTED TO SELLER ABOUT THIS MATTER, WAIT NOW TO HEAR BACK. RECENTLY HAD REAR EVAP LINES REPLACED AND THE SHOP NOTICED WHAT LOOKS LIKE COULD BE MELTED RUBBER OOZING FROM THE PULLEY SET ON THE COMPRESSOR. DON'T KNOW IF OR HOW THIS WILL AFFECT PERFORMANCE OF THE COMPRESSOR, IT MUST HAVE GOTTEN PRETTY HOT TO MELT THE RUBBERY LOOKING STUFF AND MAKE IT OOZE OUT. I SUBMITTED INFO. ABOUT THE MATTER TO SELLER 5 DAYS AGO, HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM YET. WILL TRY CALL THEM IN FEW DAYS IF NOT HEAR BACK BEFORE NEXT WEDNESDAY.
