Let me tell you what happened when I washed them !
When I washed these they were totally free from any dirt or dust or what not. Even after soaking them the water was crystal clear. I have never seen peas this clean before that was sold like these. They were all uniform in size meaning you did not get old ones or new ones mixed in with the ripe ones. They worked great for my dishes that require baking or simmering. The taste was very fresh. I am extremely impressed with what I bought. I was worried with the price that I might regret putting so much focus on their taste and quality in my recipes but no anymore. These are definitely worth it ! I will be buying these here going forward as long as the above stays the same. I hope that helps ! [email protected]

Great peas
Really nice peas. I found no clumps of dirt or pebbles mixed in with these as I have with other brands. These sprout easily and taste sweet.

Very happy with this product!
Bought these for long-term storage. I packed a dozen quart jars and saved the rest to feed my ducks and geese (they LOVE green peas). I haven't eaten any myself yet but they are clean with no trash and almost no broken ones. Soak them overnight in the fridge and they are ready for cooking... Or feeding to waterfowl! The peas triple or quadruple in volume while soaking. The only criticism I have is that the shipping is so high, but then, the product IS 25 lbs! Dried whole green peas are very difficult to find and they are expensive, so I was thrilled to find these. I will be buying these again soon.

We bought these to sprout for our salads and stir frys and were not disappointed! After an initial overnight soaking we planted in a half soil/worm castings mix. They were almost all sprouted in the next 24 hours. we planted in re-used mushroom boxes (the kind your mushrooms come in at the grocery store) Once all the peas were sprouted and were up a couple of inches (about a week or so) we would trim them with a scissors to add to our meals-In fact, I just planted another batch this evening. If you've never eaten pea sprouts before, I highly recommend you try them. Sweet and crispy...they taste like sugar snap pods. I have not yet tried cooking the peas themselves...but plan to soon. This is a GREAT buy. We purchased the 5 lb bag, and plan to plant these in our garden in a couple weeks.

Sprouted well, and produced lots of shoots with good flavor. However we were a little disappointed in the texture of the shoots. We were expecting the type that is served in Chinese restaurants, but apparently those are from a different variety, probably snow peas. The snow pea shoots are larger, leafier and more tender than these. We'll keep looking for the right type.

Great for ‘mushy peas’with fish and chips.
Coming from Yorkshire UK where the traditional dish is pork pie smothered with ‘mushy’ peas, we missed being able to purchase same in local stores. Consequently, we went online to find ‘Food to Live’ who sells dried peas in 5lbs quantities, just perfect for our needs. Delivery was prompt and the product much to our liking. After overnight soaking along with bicarbonate of soda ie baking soda, then rinsing thoroughly and boiling rapidly for roughly 20 minutes they are ready to eat, scrumptious!

immature peas
i bought the 3lb bag a while back and they were excellent, so when i ran out i ordered the 5lb bag. when i receivedit the peas looked a little yellow compared to the last batch. when i made soup out of them they didnt cook right. they remained kind of crunchy, i thought i had just messed up the recipe. the next time i cooked them, i soaked them for 12hours instead of my usual 8 hours and cooked them for 6 hours instead of my usual 4 hours, they still came out crunchy. the soup is edible but not nearly as good as the first batch. i will try them one more time but if they are the same as this batch i wont be buying again.
