Strong, durable and stylish...
Having spent years struggling through wind and rain with umbrellas of questionable build quality that invariably broke at the least opportune moment, this Fulton is a breath of fresh air.Build qualityMade from good quality materials, with strong joints and fibreglass ribs/shaft, this is lightweight despite its size and highly durable. I have now used it in strong winds and rain and it stood up to both as advertised, barely flexing or losing shape. Fulton claim it can handle a 70mph wind and I'm quite sure it can.PracticalityAs above, the Cyclone is lightweight and easy to carry with the shoulder bag. The canopy is huge when open and would easily cover two people. It is not an automatic but the opening action is smooth and hassle free. In strong gusts it can be difficult to control, but the same can be said of any umbrella and isn't a surprise due to the laws of physics. The handle has a nice soft feel in the hand and grips well.DesignSmall details aplenty but overall this is a classic black umbrella. It would look good in any setting, if such things concern you. There's no overt branding anywhere, just a Fulton logo on the handle and that suits me just fine. Understated, classic style.ValueI bought this whilst it was on offer but would gladly pay full price should I ever need to buy one again. However, given the build quality and durability of this umbrella, I doubt I will have to do so for some time.Overall, highly recommended, 10/10.

Still going strong after nearly three years
I go for a 50-minute walk on weekdays and this umbrella has been in out winds of up to about 50 mph with no damage. I wouldn't even go out in winds stronger than that! I like that it spreads wide and covers me well, and sometimes my son has joined me under the umbrella. It looks smart. When it is really windy, you need to hold on tight because with the large size of this umbrella, you'll really feel the tug in strong wind. Thankfully, it has a nice handle with slightly soft rubber, groves for your fingers, and a rubber grip that helps you to hold it firmly. The rubber still looks pristine, so is hard-wearing.It opens and closes manually: you press a button and then push or pull. It's a solid mechanism that looks built to last, and I've used mine without any problems for nearly three years. The weak point for me is the carry case: it doesn't look that strong and I tend not to use it. But that's a minor thing, and this brolly has taken hours and hours of strong wind and rain as I usually walk along an exposed road next to open farm fields. I wasn't sure an umbrella could take such a beating, but it has, so I have to award it top marks.

2Person at a squeeze
Yes it's not a cheapy brolly, but for handmade British build quality, and the look of, woah its a Fulton, priceless... The material of the canopy makes rain fall bead up and roll off, unlike any of my other umbrellas, one quick shake before putting it away, and for all intents and purposes its dry as a bone,The shoulder sling is a nice touch, and its highly practical. Not tried it in high winds, but let's face it, when the rain is coming at you sideways, its renders any umbrella pretty useless

It's really strong but a bit of a beast
No doubting this is one of the sturdiest umbrella's I've ever owned, but when the wind picks up it's also a bit of a beast to manage! My daughter was using it walking down to school and a gust of wind ended up spinning her around and stepping out into the road! I like the carrying case which means I take it out more as I can throw it over my shoulder/back and look like an 'umbrella-wielding samurai warrior' but just take care when it gets a little windy. You might be better with one of the windproof options that open up a little, although they will eventually break.
