Q: Do I have to dig it into the ground? Can i just sprinkle around plant and water?

You don’t need to dig although I always gently loosen the top soil. Usually by hand. Also I have sprinkled or spread and watered, nbut usually I mix it in a watering can and just do it in one step as I have several plants. Avoid the leaves.

Q: Can this be used to make hydrangeas bloom blue?

I also have hydrangeas that turn blue when I use an acid fertilizer. I do not use this for plants that like acidic fertilizer. I will say though that this did wonders for my many rose bushes. They had so much new growth with this fertilizer.

Q: What is the n,p,k of this?

The NPK ratio is 4-6-2. This fertilizer works well for me in the Pacific Northwest. I scratch it in around the base of roses and flowering perennials a few times during the season. I supplement it on some plants and in my pots with a liquid fertilizer.

Q: How often do you apply this to roses? I'm trying to understand how long it lasts before another application is needed. Thank you.

It probably depends partly on where you live and your soil conditions. I put it around my roses in the spring, when they start waking up, and then every six to eight weeks after that. I think I use a bit more than the packaging advises, but I’m too lazy to be more careful and so far, I haven’t had a bad reaction.
