Works for me!
I have to admit that I am all thumbs when it comes to stuff like this. I just can't seem to get little bottles to work for me, and end up spilling half of the contents. But the little bottle of solution was easy to use, as was the CD/DVD.Our DVD player had started skipping, and as the DVD's would play fine in other mediums (a laptop), we knew it was the machine. We discussed just getting a new one, but then I came across this. It didn't cost much, so I gave it a try.Glad I did! Our DVD player works like new again. A small cost and good investment, and would recommend it to anyone having the same problem.

Great Find
I was having some big problems with my CD’s skipping, and I knew my player hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time! So, I thought it couldn’t hurt by trying this Trisonic CD, DVD, and CD rom Laser cleaner, first. I choose this one here at Amazon to see if it could help fix the problems. And it worked, thankfully! And it saved me some $$$, at least for the time being. It was very easy to use. Just opened the package & placed the CD cleaner disc in my player, and just let it run through the their program. I removed the disc and tried my CD again, and this inexpensive disc cleaner had fixed my problem!

Disappointed
This was not very effective. I will continue to try to find a more effective way to clean my cd player .

Didn't work and documentation did not match the product
The directions said there were two discs: one with the cleaning brushes and one with a program to move the laser lens head back and forth. The movement of the head was to make sure the head moved back and forth over the rotation brushes. Sounds good.Only thing, there was only one disc, the one with the brushes. So the laser head did not move and did not get clean. It was in a blister pack, so the program disc could not get lost. I believe the documentation might have been they engineering wanted it but marketing decided to sell something else.A complete waste of money.

Cleaner and nostalgia machine?
I used this product to clean my play station 2. Right now, due to the economy and gap between the wealthy and me, my children watch movies on that instead of a regular DVD player. I ordered this product to try to squeeze a few more months out of my outmoded gaming system. When I received the package, I immediately thought back to 'Saved by the Bell'. The particular episode was the one where Jessie got hooked on caffeine pills and Zach came to her room to confront her. You could cut the tension with a knife. I am thankful every day that Jessie got better. Thankfully she got that bed rest and kicked the habit without further incident. It would've been a shame if she had moved on to harder drugs, like Advil or Naproxin Sodium or heaven forbid, Tylenol PM.Anyway, where was I? Oh, so the color scheme of the CD and the labeling of the solution reminded me of the 90s. Probably because the items were almost certainly manufactured in the 90s. I applied the solution to the cleaning CD and waited for magic as I inserted it into my old gaming console. What happened next was nothing short of amazing.A female voice came on the TV. She spoke very loudly and britishly about how clean my DVD player was about to be. She implored me to sit back and enjoy some of today's greatest hits as heard on elevators while the cleaner worked it's magic. Upon hearing the British lady my four-year-old daughter proceeded to leap from the bath tub, where she was taking a bath within earshot, and run into the kitchen the long way around through her brother's room. She had to escape the ghost woman in her room. Needless to say, naked four-year-old + slippery feet + ceramic tile floors = comedy.Oh, and does this cleaner DVD contain an instrumental track from Lionel Ritchie? I don't know, there wasn't a track list. It would be awesome if it did, though.I would recommend this product to anyone looking to clean a DVD player and terrify small children. It suits that purpose very well at a reasonable cost.

Didn't Work For Me
Product arrived quickly. Fluid bottle was full. Instructions were clear.I put the cleaning CD in. The "cleaning" part of the CD is a tuft of straight fibers glued to the surface of the CD about 5mm across extending about 3.5mm the surface. Putting the CD in and it starts to play music. It says "for English instruction, change to track 2." So I change to track 2. The CD extolls the sublime benefit of being able to listen to music while SIMULTANEOUSLY cleaning the CD player laser's lens. It instructs "when you hear the high pitched sound, change to track 9." A scant few seconds later that high-pitched noise comes on, and so I change to track 9, as I was told to. More music plays and the CD says my player is now all clean, but be sure to use the cleaning CD frequently for optimum player performance. I then play a CD that works fine on other players, but not on this player, and NOT better. It skips just as much as before.Surely I've made some sort of mistake. I mean the whole changing to track 2 and then to track 9, I, I, I coulda messed that up somehow. Gotten it wrong. Did I really change to track 9? So I repeat. A few more times. I add some of that liquid which is packaged so securely a machete is required to open the bottle. No dice. Same result: FAIL.I don't know if this product works for anybody else, but it sure didn't work for me.I woulda rated it 1-star, but the recorded voice was so soothing and the music so pleasant I just can't bring myself to do it. Also, I tried another CD laser diode cleaner CD and it's still stuck in my 6 CD changer., so this one is way better than that one.
