As I had hoped
I've been looking for a truly good pack to take on extended trips out of town (and outdoors) with me. I remembered how much I loved my Molle when I was in the USMC and this is the ONLY seller I have found who has them new. The seller was very prompt with shipping this item and it came fully assembled. I did a detailed once over on the entire pack (straps, zippers, stitching, etc...) and everything looks perfect. I'm very had to please when it comes to my gear, and in this case at least, I got exactly what I was hoping I would.I would also like to add for anyone who has never had the pleasure of using a Molle that you should take the plunge. I, like many others in my unit, were reluctant to dump our A.L.I.C.E. packs for the Molle when they came out (not that we had a choice mind you). The modular system took a while to get used to, but once you do there is no going back. The modular system allows for countless options to be added to your molle gear (pack, vest, etc...). The frame is extremely durable as well as light weight. The entire system is built to carry a large, heavy load if needed. The sleeping bag carrier is awesome, and the side straps can be used for carrying a variety of items, including foam sleeping rolls, axes, etc... Additionally, they didn't mess around when it came to the shoulder straps or waist attachment. They are thickly padded for comfort. Trust someone who has destroyed pair after pair of combat boots with a molle on my back, for the price I don't think this pack can be beaten.Speaking of price, I have seen these for sale before, but they were used. The cheapest I have seen is 199.00 and up. I would have paid more for this item and been happy, but at this price I didn't even consider any other option.

DEMOTING to 3 *** Stars after some use.
UPDATE 16 FEB 13 : MEH ... Demoted this pack to 3 stars *** ...After actually humping with this pack, I am not all that impressed with the ergonomics and the features and details really do leave a great deal to be desired. Do not get me wrong. There is a lot to like about this pack but, in actual use it just sort of saps the energy out of me ... It does not seem to ride in a way that conserves my comfort and energy. I will try it some more but I found that I was sweating a lot and had to rest more frequently than with some of my other packs. I own half a dozen packs, in this capacity class and the only pack that I like less than this one is my CFP-90 (which will also do in a pinch)...I am still evaluating all these packs and I will try this pack out under less humid conditions. Seems like the rain protection could be better, though. Have not tested in serious rain. My initial review was just ecstatic (six stars) and I am just finding better options (other packs), ergos, and functionality, in this price range. I will update as I get more experience with these packs. ... In short ? ... This will do but there are better systems at this price.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PROS: Mine was ALL NEW and MINT CONDITION ... A good value !CONS: One Large Main Ruck compartment and One (fully seperate) Sleep-system compartment. Not much MOLLE/PALS webbing ... limited attachment points. ... Complex straps.I own a Camelbak Motherlode and also a Camelbak BFM ... This DWARFS THEM !I needed a pack that would securely retain (and keep dry) my USGI ECWS IMPROVED MODULAR SLEEP SYSTEM (IMSS) ... This pack does that and also provides a large main compartment. There are not all that many attachment points, on the pack and there are no sub-compartments, beyond the large main compartment and the seperate sleep-system compartment.Strangely, the VERY well padded and VERY modern and comfortable hip-belt DOES have a full-rack of modern MOLLE/PALS compatible webbing (on the waist/hip belt). This is a very good thing, as water-bottle carriers and heavier tools and possibles-pouches can be attached within reach. The suspension (all parts of it) are OUT-STANDING ! ! ! ... Fully padded ... fully adjustable ... fully vented ... VERY comfortable and, yes ... WILL FIT A VERY LARGE XXL waist-size without extention (almost a 3XL waist strap ... OK ... the small side of 3XL).I could Rave-On ... I do kinda wish the compartments could be combined into one large compartment, to allow for a folded carbine or other tall items to be fully concealed ... oh, well. At a hundred bucks delivered ? ... KWAP ! ... GO FER IT !!!I tend to parse my gear into a number of dry-kit bags anyway so I am actually glad that this pack does NOT have lots of needless sub-compartments ... This actually facilitates my moving kits from pack-to-pack, rather than un-packing and inventory of each sub-pocket.USE an array of dry-bag kits (color coded) ... this is far superior to a bunch of extra compartments and pockets and zippers. (IMO).

Great pack but...
This is a very good pack. The frame is very sturdy and it distributes weight well. I recently took this pack on a hike in the Florida Everglades Swamp. I got rained on quite a bit and the contents of my pack stayed dry. The straps also held up very well and they didnt loosen up at all.The only thing negative I would say about the pack is that I thought it would be a little bigger. This is a great pack for 2-3 days tops. Maybe its because I had to pack so much water because it was really hot and humid but the size of the pack isnt suitable for extended trips. If you are looking for a big rucksack for a 4+ day hike, this ruck is not big enough. But overall, it has great quality and it survived in a harsh environment.

Should have been awesome .. missing key elements for greatness and poor single stitch design flaw
Was super excited to receive this bag.. looked like it was built well .. after further inspection It was missing a plastic strap point and had marker drawn on it in multiple places.. also some thread that is key for structural integrity has broken after 2 uses. For an army bag I would have thought things would be double or triple stitched but apparently single line stitching is where this bag falls short. The actual design of the pack is great .. the shoulder straps and waist strap are comfortable and built well. The backrest seems to be well made and is flexible yet sturdy. Really wanted to love this product but it seems like it's not going to Last at all and with the missing strap ring I'm just dissapointed.

Shoulder strap problem
Good strong pack but not sure what the problem is with the tie down straps for the shoulder straps. I watched several videos and everything seems to go together perfectly with extra straps left over. I don’t have near enough to even velcro them the slightest bit. Are these shoulder straps made incorrectly?
