Q: what are the dimensions when in the bag?

Walked out and measured. 45 1/2" tall and about 8" diameter at the widest.

Q: How high off the ground is the seat itself?

The front is 20" and the back of the seat is 17". Hope this helps. I am 5'6" and my husband is 6'6" and the chairs are very comfortable for both of us.

We have owned 4 of these amazing chairs. We bought them in 2017. We have loved them and they have gone on ever beach trip. Park concerts. Festivals. We are so thankful for them. Since lock down they have become our seats as we move around our yard to watch over our little dog. He waits for squirrels to come down from the trees. We seat comfortably until that happens.
