I last used gels pens maybe three or four years ago and my only memory of the ones I bought back then is that they were scratchy and inconsistent, making them no fun to use.Not so with these Castle Art Gel Pens.From the very first moment I started using them I could see that they were of the highest quality. The colours are vibrant and the gel flows freely, making them a joy to use either for colouring or writing. There is an incredible variety of shades available and the different types of effect (neon, glitter, pastel, swirl and more) means there are so many combinations and possibilities. They are also really comfortable to hold. The plastic pouch is sturdy and each gel pen slots nicely into place within it.Out of the 60 pens I’ve tried so far there has been only one that needed a bit of encouragement for the gel to flow, and there are a couple where the glitter doesn’t seem to be as well incorporated into the gel as with the others, however these are extremely minor quibbles that I have detailed only in an attempt to give the fullest picture possible.I have also purchased Castle Art coloured pencils recently that I have yet to try out and on the basis of the gel pens I am very much looking forward to giving those a go too.If you are looking for a product that combines quality, variety and value for money then these are the ones for you!

Great pens, easy to use, loads of choice and apart from 2 of the pens in the whole pack the ink flows so well. Not dry at all and the look of glitter and metallic is really good.

So I colour a lot love these pens they come in very good packaging that I can keep them all together. So smooth to colour with and so many colours to choose from. Very good quality to. Still going after colouring with them over a month and the glitter is good to. Highly recommended buying theses as they are such good quality.

OK prosInk flows really well, packaging useful to see, and pens numbered so you can identify which ones you need easilyStrong coloursThe neon and pastels flow well and nice coloursGreat range of colours if you take the pack as a wholeConsInk takes a whike to dry comparatively to other brands....probably because it flows so well, but be careful not to smudgeAside from neon, the pastels are quite faint..and the others are so similar in cour eg metallic blue, glitter blue and even neon glitter are nearly indistinguishable...they are also so muted that I ended up buying another brand set for brighter colours...shuttle art 100 glitter pens....between them it's great and all the colours of the rainbow but pretty expensive to need both for a really colourful outcomeWithin a few hours at least one pen has run out....I think again its because of the amount and ease of Ink coming out because all the pens are definitely full of ink.Not sure if I'd purchase again...if you're using them for bullet journals, or don't use them for lots of colouring where you want brighter glitter or metallic then great...I've been buying pens for years...I like colouring when my disability stops me doing actual painting, and the ones available vary greatly....Having said all that, they are nicely presented, easy to use and as I said earlier there are plenty of cour choices if you look at the pack as a whole....but I find mixing neon and the rest can look a bit odd, that's just my personal opinion though

These are fantastic pens! I've bought countless packs of gel pens in the past, some a lot cheaper and others more expensive than this back and I can honestly say that these are the best I've bought. They come presented in a really nice, sturdy box which I thought was a lovely touch and makes them really nice to give as a gift. They really shout 'quality' just from the presentation and packaging...it's obvious straight away that they're not cheap, foreign, half filled scratchy pens. I've tested each pen and they all work (I've bought other brands where there would always be a couple that didn't work) the ink flows really well, the colours are amazing and they're really comfortable to hold. I've bought them to use in my journaling Bible and I know they're going to be prefect for that. The company offer a 'Colour Happiness Guarantee' where they will refund or replace if there are any issues. I got an email from Penny from Castle Art Supplies shortly after ordering which thanked me for my order and explained that they're a small, home based company, this made me feel even happier about my purchase as I'd much rather buy from small businesses. Overall I haven't got a single complaint. I will update this review after I've used the pens more.
