Q: One pack at $6.99 contains one lock and the 5-pack at $79.99 means $15.99 each piece. Do I get it correctly?

Good question. I just bought one unit to try first, even though I know that my luggage and backpack will use more locks. Sounds to me like someone in sales there is asleep at the switch.

Q: Will this fit through the holes in a zipper (i want to lock to zippers together)??

The exact size the cable will pass through is 9/64 or 3.57mm. this has been checked with a drill gauge. It will NOT fit through a 1/8" hole

Q: Is the cable easier or more difficult than the rigid locks to attach to suitcases?

I find the cables to be much easier than the rigid locks because you don't have to jiggle the whole lock around to find that magic angle that will allow it to pass through the things you are trying to lock. All in all the cable adds a few more degrees of usefulness to the traditional rigid lock style.

Q: have gun case with 1 inck lock holes, will this lock close

keep in mind that these locks work great but can be a challenge to get open at times... so you may want to give more consideration if this is being used to lock a gun case that you might need immediate access too
