NOW Wheat Germ Oil, 16-Ounces (Pack of 2)

NOW is one of the largest and most respected producers of dietary supplements, and, this wheat germ oil lives up to the quality that I expect from the NOW label. Wheat germ oil is high in vitamin E. This oil has an interesting dark orange color, and, a pleasant, "wheaty"/nutty aroma. I pair this oil with hempseed oil (which is high in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids) and pour it on my salads. Finish the salad with a nice, quality vinegar, such as aged balsamic, sherry or champagne vinegar, and, you're in business!P.S. -- I recommend that you store your wheat germ and hempseed oils in the refrigerator -- the cold temperature helps to preserve the oils and stave off rancidity. Wheat germ oil will not solidify in the fridge; it will stay in liquid form.

I got this oil to use for the vitamin E oil as surgeon recommended putting on my knee scars. Seems to be a good oil. I use it as a nightly moisturizer on my face, now, too. It does smell like whole wheat bread, but it's a light smell and makes me feel it's pure.

Great product, added to my diet to boost vitamin E content without having to eat a ton sunflower seeds or other high calorie foods. As to complaints about taste, that is just nonsense, wheat germ oil is what it is. I have found I actually enjoy the taste when added to my morning smoothie as it is unique and nutritious.

Love this stuff for everything

I bought Wheat Germ Oil for hair growth. I've been taking it for a few weeks. It's quite hard to keep taking it internally for the taste is strong and unpleasing leaving a long after taste that is hard to get rid of even with the strongest drinks. I wanted oil because I hate swallowing pills. I would chase it with a drink like water or cranberry but I find that orange juice works much better. I'm not sure if I will keep taking it internally - maybe but it does give me a gag reflex each time. The first time I applied it externally to my face was a couple of nights ago. I washed my face then rubbed it it for four minutes. It works wonders! I could tell the difference immediately. It's an oil that goes into the skin and doesn't just sit on top of it. You do not need to apply much but I know I will definitely be applying it externally again. I can still see the difference two days later.

Believe it or not wheatgerm oil is 20 SPF…I use it along with carrot seed oil red raspberry say royal Shea butter lavender coconut oil and all combined it turns into about 30 SPF that I use on my skin it’s waterproof it doesn’t harm the environment very pleased very good price by the way
