The most versatile tape I have ever used.
Found this exact model about 4 years ago and have not changed since. Plumbing superintendent and I issue these tapes out to all of my guys. Standout is well over 10 feet in the field and the large hook allows you to grab over or under with ease. I buy several at a time because I am scared they will discontinue this model. Also we are very hard on tape measures out in the field but this has proven itself time and time again to outlast others we have tried. Excellent product.

Best tape measure I've ever owned
I love this tape measure. I am a pipefitter, and use this tape measure daily. The clip has never ever even bent. It actually goes out 13'. The top,and bottom hook at the end allows for ease of hooking on anything needed. It retracts very easily even at 20+ feet. I've used it for a month and it's still as the day I bought it. I highly recommend this tape to any tradesmen.

Not made in the USA
It's marketed as a USA made product but not only does it lack the flag on the face of the tape but it clearly states that it's made in Thailand. It seems like it would be a great tape measure regardless but false advertising is false advertising.

Not for plumbers
Breaks my heart to give 3 stars to dewalt (my fav), but this tape has lots of issues. The spring is so strong it hurts a lot when you release it. The advertise length one could go out is not at all a usable length since if you get it that far it will look like a lightweight fishing rod with a 30lb salmon on it. I bought this because I really wanted the top grab for the hook. The end is HUGE! For many things a plumber needs it simply won't fit. That isn't something I deducted stars for though. It would be a great framer tape but another flaw is the clip that hooks over your pocket. If that's how you carry a tape then be careful because there's nothing that grabs and there isn't any tension. If you're working above others (as framer, that's almost always) you will be dropping this and it's heavy. If I see anyone with this tape and they're working above me, I will stand clear, tyvm.

Favorite tape measure so far
Probably my favorite tape measure so far I used to be on the Stanley FatMax kick for the longest time but the only drawbacks of them is after a while they don't close and more often than not you can't lock the tape measure with one hand you need both hands to lock or unlock and that is not the case with this to well tame measure in both scenarios so good I bought a backup already.

35 year carpenter says meh....... UPDATE
UPDATE: After using this tape exclusively for a couple weeks I have to say I have gotten used to it. Old habits die hard. I really like it. I find myself reaching for the DeWalt rather than my old standby. It's still heavy, it's still cupped but it's still better than the rest and definitely worth the money. The outside silver plate is plastic and not metallic as I had thought in my initial opinion. The bad first, It's heavy, like pull your pants down heavy. Don't think you're going to clip it on your belt and be comfortable because you won't be. If you wear a tool belt and throw it in the pocket or use a tape clip it's perfect. The tape itself is really cupped out and you have to roll it to the side to get an accurate 16th or an 8th mark.At 2' there's a good 1/4" stuck up in the air on the end of the tape which makes it difficult to get really precise marks without holding it down. You can't really pull it right and do it because the hook doesn't bite. The good, it has a crazy long reach more than 10' easily. The tape is easy to read and it has no slack in the hook. It's built like a tank, the clip is really beefy and feels solid when you put it on.The spring is pretty fast and not to hard to extend. The lock is tight and holds firm while moving around with the tape extended. The case is thick and tough with a metal (aluminum?) Cover. All in all it's a great tape measure for framing or other jobs where you don't have to be fast and accurate at the same time but I'm a trim carpenter and it not best suited for that job. It does do the job but slows me down a little bit. It's probably better than most out there but it's expensive. Time will tell how it holds up and I hope I got what I paid for.
