Very affordable, very easy to use, very accurate. What more can you ask for?
Just got this, been meaning to buy this for a long time. Im extremely satisfied. It is VERY accurate. Affordable, well built and easy to use. Thank you LEE for once again making an awesome product for a regular persons budget. Can finally properly and accurately sort out all this lead scrap ive been gathering up over the past several years. Just realize the hashes are .002 so as an example, if your looking through the scope and you are between .04 and .06 and you count 4 hashes over to the right from .04 you would be .048 as the measurement. Reference that on your chart and that will give you the brinnel hardness. Which for this example would be 22.7. Took me a total of 10 minutes and reading the instructions to feel completely competent using this tool.

Crystal Clear Image
Anyone who has ever used one of these knows it’s a little tricky to master at first. But this unit has crystal clear magnification and vivid scale markings making it a breeze to use

A must for serious bullet casters.
I cast a lot of bullets and this is a must have if you take bullet casting serious. It is a little awkward to use, but it does work and it cheaper than other types of lead hardness testers. I cast from soft cowboy loads all the way up to high velocity rifle loads and it nice to know that when I want a dead soft bullet for that 19th century rifle it's dead soft. If your just casting wheel weights (like I had done for years) for plinking with modern hand guns and 30/30 type rifles than I don't think it's necessary.

Be careful with it's use, and it's very accurate.
It's a bit temperamental, and requires attention to detail, but IMHO, it's more accurate than the SAECO unit.It needs an updated storage case.

Works, but not what was expected
This gadget will only register the number you’re looking for if you have a good source of direct light on your specimen. And you will need a lot of patience to gets satisfactory results. Like I said in the title, it works, but you have to work at it
