Fantastic Shower Head
Hansgrohe makes a quality product. I swapped out my Raindance shower head - 13 years old and used every day - for this one. Excellent product. Installation was easy.

After 1 year usage, 4 stars mainly for customer support
I've used this handshower for a little over a year and find its 3 operating modes satisfactory. Its biggest feature is its looks - a slick modern statement for the bathroom.However it is not a cheap unit and you'd expect it to be well-made and to hold up over time. A couple of weeks ago the button that switches between the 3 modes stopped working, leaving the shower in between two modes. It was sufficient to call the Hansgrohe customer service number, ask for technical service, and after emailing them proof-of-purchase I received a brand-new unit within a week. Hopefully it will last more than 1 year.If it was not for their stellar customer service I would give it 1 star.

quality construction
Great product. Even tho it is constructed mostly of plastic it feels and functions flawlessly.

Not what I expected
As the two star description indicates, I didn't like it. That's not to say it's bad if the spray patterns work for what you want. It seems like a well made product, albeit an overpriced one in my opinion compared to some other brands (Ana Bath is one I am currently using) that work just as well (but still don't have the spray pattern I desire).My problem with it was I really just wanted a full pattern (no "hole in the middle"), hand held,"rain" shower head. Which from the picture it looks like it would be. But, the finer "rain" mode only uses half of the jets you see on the face. Disappointing to me. The other half of the jets are for the "air rain " mode, but once again now not using the finer ones. So in either mode you are only using half the jets. Not something that was indicated in the description here or on Hansgrohe's site.The push button was the only positive to me, as it is more convenient for one handed operation, but I didn't even want to have to switch between modes, I just wanted to use the rain mode, if it had been satisfactory to me.

Great Shower Head
Love the shower head. Like the button to change water flow.Love the self cleaning. Keeps the shower head clean. No mildew area to worry about.

Poor Engineering & Design
The original handshower was installed with a Hansgrohe shower system when our house was built. It last about four years when the plastic insert, to which the water supply is attached, detached from the handshowers metal housing. I ordered a replacement about three months ago and it has now failed in the same manner. Hansgrohe = great designs, high prices, poor quality control.
