Provide a great option to secure ductless mini-split to earth!
Purchased 4 of these 9" earth augers to secure the synthetic pad for a newly installed mini split HVAC to the ground. Long enough that 6 inches remain to auger into the ground. With 4 total securing the HVAC pad into the ground, they provide a solid, tight, secure hold. With the HVAC secured by 4 separate bolts, it is going nowhere in the event of an earthquake; however most importantly, good enough to pass permit inspection!

The threads are the same size as the head so there is no way to add a washer or anything like that under the head

A unique application for earth anchors
I have two cast aluminum lawn ornaments, sandhill cranes. I drilled a 3/4" hole in the base of the birds, and drove the anchors into the ground. Worked great. Not one has flown away.
