This is such a better option than the cast iron plate that comes with the Joe. Better airflow, and a little shake to knock down the little pieces and ash. The divider (for the big Joe version) is easier to use/place than the cast iron version. Well made product. I've seen a few versions of these - this one is made well, fits well, and works well. Great addition to the Joe.

Fits great in Big Joe. Helps airflow which is easier to get the charcoal started and control throughout the cook. Great price when compared to OEM basket. Highly recommended.

Build like a tank! The bottom of the basket does not go inside of the ash cavity like the original one, and this one seems to be a tad bit shallower for that reason. I actually think it may work better because it leaves a wider air gap between the burning fire and the ash collector, improved air flow.

The basket fit my Kamado Joe big Joe perfectly. Much less expensive than an OEM product. Very happy with purchase!

I ordered the one for the 24" Kamado Big Joe. It fits, but not as well as the one from KJ themselves. For the money, I GUESS it will do. It would be nice if the divider sat in the basket a little better. I can't complain TOO much for 1/3 the price.

This was the perfect addition to my Kamado Joe smoker. I was able to partition the lump charcoal more easily without wasting more than necessary. Also, this allows for me to better get air into the smoker to better control the burn. At over half the price of OEM with the same quality, it was a no-brainer. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I had been holding off on getting one of these for my Kamado Joe, but after reading posts, watching videos, I bit the bullet and I am glad I did. This basket really gets the temperature hot by increasing the airflow. You need to keep on top of it because you may be used to needing to open the top and bottom vents more - just experiment with it.Very well made and fits well in my Big Joe (original/version 1).It's a bit expensive, but worth it in the end.Recommended.
