VITAMIN SAGA
i get these sore spots on my tongue (it's called geographic tongue-or even cartographic tongue-no kidding!) that hurt like hell, but when i load up on these vitamins they go away within days or even hours! these are great, relatively inexpensive vitamins. i've been using them for years.IN MY DOTAGE: i started to get shingles last year: i've been slacking off on the vitamins for a while, but when this very painful blister wouldn't go away for weeks, (i thought it was poison oak) i started loading up on these and it went away almost immediately.i'm sure that there are many, many multivitamins that are as good, or better, but so far these are best, least expensive ones that i've found.back when i was in my late 20's i came down with grave's disease (hyperthyroid): after a very long time on thyroid hormone suppressants my doctor started to make noises about having surgery. after a little freak out (surgery! ick!) i went to a naturopathic doctor who : 1.got me off coffee. 2. got me off salt (iodine), 3. told me not to eat processed food or refined sugars and 4.sold me these giant multivitamin horse pills (they had a different label on them, but i'm sure they were twinlabs duel mega multi's. they were REAL expensive for me,a student.) there were a few other things (meditation,no red meat,) but those are the basics. within a few months my thyroid function was back to normal. (this after two years on the thyroid hormone suppressants.) i haven't had a problem with it since. it's been decades now.my friends are tired of hearing this story (it's a great story though, right?)GOOD LUCK AND TAKE YOUR VITAMINS!p.s: my new doctor had me take some blood tests and my glucose was kind of high (130) and my vit d levels were pretty low (20), so he gave me the dutch uncle about my diet (diabetes!) and recommended i take 5000 i.u.s of vit d3 every day. it's been about a month and i'm amazed! MY INSATIABLE MUNCHIES FOR mass quantities of CARBS AND SUGARS HAS ALMOST ENTIRELY VANISHED!!! i'm slowly losing weightthere's tons of articles on the internet on vit d: serotonin and dopamine levels, insulin and glucose levels, malaria! ebola! flu, diabetes, almost any sickness i could think of or imagine.i'm only going to tell you about my experience, though, which is amazing enough for me.i'm still going to take my nice multi, though. it's my safety net.oh, and btw, i've been taking extra magnesium and any cravings for chocolates i might have had has also VANISHED. sad, huh?we love our cravings.wowsie!

Picture is misleading, but product is still excellent.
I really love the Alive vitamins. I've had them before and they worked amazingly. Recently, my immune system has been a bit off, so I wanted to go with something more potent. I found this vitamin, tried a half of a dose, and am already feeling a bit more energy than normal. The only downside of this vitamin is that you have to take 6 daily. The picture doesn't reflect that as of 12/05/18; however, I took a picture of the bottle I received in the mail and as you can see, mine says "Max6 Daily" and the product picture on Amazon doesn't show that. Basically, you have a about a 2 week supply of you take the full dosage. It doesn't really bother me, but if you're like me and go by the pictures only, just be aware that this vitamin is not even close to being once daily 🙂

easy and powerful to work!
This 3 a day beats the 6 a day.

Like the additional herbs, algae, etc.
I've bought NatureMade multis for years, but I now check the website, Labdoor for supplement recommendations and found this. It seemed like the most affordable of the top choices, but it was my error to not note that you need to take 6 capsules per day. That's a little pricey for me, so I take 3 in the morning & half a NatureMade Multi with dinner. I've always taken half a multi twice a day. It's so hard to tell the benefits, but I like the additional herbs, mushrooms, algae that are in it without buying all those things separately.

Watchdogs of the supplement industry ranks Alive! Max Potency the highest quality multivitamins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When choosing a vitamin supplement, it's natural to want to buy a trusted brand, but how do you know which one to pick? Watchdogs of the supplement industry independently test products to help provide guidance on which brands consistently produce high-quality products. Some companies also obtain certification to assure consumers that their products adhere to the highest quality standards. Checking into test ratings and reading labels for certifications is a good place to start when choosing a dietary supplement.ConsumerLab.com conducts an annual survey to get feedback from its subscribers about how satisfied they are with vitamins and supplements they use. Based on 10,326 responses the site collected in November 2013, Swanson, Nutrilite, TruNature and Vitafusion achieved top rankings for overall customer satisfaction. Other top-rated brands according to the survey are Walgreens, Kroger, Vitamin Shoppe and Natural Factors. These brands make a variety of vitamins and supplements available at drugstores and health stores alike.LabDoor sent 75 multivitamin supplements to an independent lab to test for qualities such as purity, potency and artificial coloring. Some products contained less of certain vitamins than claimed, and some contained artificial coloring, but all passed the heavy metal test. LabDoor rated the multivitamins based on the analysis, and vitamins from Carlson Labs, Nature's Way, NOW Foods, Garden of Life, MusclePharm, Rainbow Light and Irving Naturals landed on the top-rated list, receiving a solid "A" rating.LabDoor analyzed 75 best-selling multivitamin supplements in the United States, measuring levels of key vitamins (A, B-3, B-6, C, D, and folic acid), minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc), fatty acids (total omega-3, EPA, and DHA), and heavy metals (arsenic, lead, cadmium, bismuth, antimony, and silver). The products tested missed their vitamin label claims by an average of 22.6% and missed their mineral label claims by an average of 29.2%. Supplement labels most commonly overstated their claims for vitamins A and C, with 12 multivitamins (16%) containing at least 30% less vitamin A vs. their label claims and 21 multivitamins (28%) containing at least 10% less vitamin C vs. their label claims.Alive! Max Potency Multi-Vitamins met all purity standards but recorded significant label claim variance on 2/6 key vitamins. Vitamin A stood out as the worst offense—measuring at 75.3% below its label claim.https://labdoor.com/rankings/multivitaminshttp://www.livestrong.com/article/30775-list-top-vitamin-brands/

Not the capsules!! Not a good value. Only last 15 days!!
Noooooo. Do you really want to take 6 pills a day??? Order the solid pills and you only take three. If you are taking the 6 pills every day like the directions say these are gone in 15 days!!! They will go so f I gave up and started only doing half or half every other day. If you order 90 of the solid pills it will at least last you a month! Who wants to rebuy every 15 days?? Seriously?
