The key works great starting our 2014 Sienna
The key works great starting our 2014 Sienna. I was able to program it in 5 minutes using this cable: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W97K7O6?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1It is not quite the same softer rubber as the original key, but it is close enough for me.The parts guy at our local dealer had no problem cutting it for free. I also had the original key, the ignition identification tag and proof of ownership. He may have been a bit impressed with my readiness, or he just thought I was cute. Ha HaDon't listen to the bull from the service department about having to "try" and program a key. It will take the tech under a minute to program it.

Works as Intended
Bought 2 of these key blanks, took them to a lock locksmith shop with the Tacoma. They cut and programmed both, and tried them in the truck (door lock & ignition)... success.By the way, the local shop (that I drove to) was much, much cheaper than any of the come-to-you mobile locksmiths that I called. Shop around for the cutting/programming if you have the option.

other than it is only good as a door key
Nothing wrong with the seller or the product at all, other than it is only good as a door key. If you buy the blank and have it cut it will only lock and unlock the doors. If you need a new ignition key, you should just go to a local locksmith or a hardware store that sells programed keys. The hardware store 2 blocks from my house wanted 52 dollars for the programed key. To have the blank I bought on Amazon cut and programed the locksmith wanted 67 dollars, it was cheaper to buy the key from the hardware store.

Great for my 2011 Toyota Tundra but need to be synced
Great for my 2011 Toyota Tundratoday I finally got around getting the key cut for $5 bucks. I also spent $18.59 on a OBDII cable. I tried running Techstream 10.10.18 I believe it was on my macbook air running windows 10 and was unsuccessful. I installed a windows 7 32bit on my macbook air and then used techstream 10.30.29 was was successful in getting a connection to my Tundra. Once everything falls in place it takes less than 5 mins to get the key synced to your vehicle. Total under $50 bucks and some hours of computer time well worth it.

Only 1 of 2 keys worked
One key worked great, cut and programmed no problem. Other was not capable of being programmed, so it cant start my truck but can be used to open the door.

Cheap, save $$$, Go OEM
Went to have key cut and due to metal being cheap, was not able to cut. Purchased OEM and it was cut by the same machine and no problem.

Identical to my original master key. Programmed it myself...
Replaced my lost key, it is identical to my master keys, indistinguishable from the originals. I used it for my 2013 Sienna. You will need to get it cut using a master key at a key shop (only a few $), and you will need to program the car computer/immobilizer to accept the transponder frequency in the key or the car won't start using the key. This last part takes a bit of effort or cost. Key shop wanted $75, dealer wanted $250 for everything! I bought a $24 MVCI cable and setup the Toyota software myself (a bit of a pain) and did the programming using an old Windows XP computer.. I Also programmed my friends 2006 Tacoma while I was at it.

It is HYPERCRITICAL that this key is compatible with your vehicle. This worked very well for my Tacoma 13’. It’ll work for other years in the same gen. The dealer programmed this no problem. I’m glad I now have a spare in case I loose the main
