Birds of Pray: The Story of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Faith, Brotherhood, and Super Bowl Victory Hardcover – Illustrated, August 21, 2018

I bought this book for my husband and I read it in 3 days. I simply couldn't put it down. The poor guy had to wait for his own book. He read it and loved it too. As a Christian and an Eagles fan, it was encouraging to read. The book discusses specific players and their relationship with Jesus and how that had and continues to have an impact on the Eagles. These guys are professionals. They play to win, but they understand everything they do on and off the field needs to reflect who is on the throne of their heart. If that sentence makes no sense to you, I encourage you to buy it and see for yourself. I love that it didn't just discuss the Eagles as Super Bowl Champs, but the legacy of Faith from earlier players. Philly is a tough town. You have to be real and this book is. I respect the writer for his own transparency.

Good read about a very memorable and historic time in Eagle history. It’s great to read the importance of prayer and faith that these players have. This book reads like a behind the scenes view on “normal” guy’s glorifying God by playing a game. Sad to finish in current times with the current state of affairs with this team, but nice to read and look back fondly on a great life experience as an Eagles fan.

As a lifelong die hard Eagles fan, as well as a man of faith, this is an awesome book covering all aspects of the amazing Super Bowl season! I had the pleasure of meeting Rob Maaddi and his story is very powerful as well. If you're an Eagles fan, pick this book up. It's inspiring and a great way to remember the memorable run to the Super Bowl!

Great look into the magical year with the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Champions and their Faith. I believe Rob Maaddi is one of the best faith based authors I have read. All his books are Faith Based with great sports background. Football Faith, Baseball Faith and now Birds of Pray Mr Maaddi has once again transformed players stories of faith into a great read.

A great read for the sports fan but also very inspirational. TheNFL is. tarnished, but emore books and Christians like portrayed in this book could helph

…who is also a preacher? This! It seems well written and like the perfect read for my father-in-law. We don’t share beliefs, so when I drew him for this year’s gift exchange, I decided on this book. I hope it conveys the respect I have for his beliefs and is an inspiring read for him at the same time.

Awesome book! Simple yet profound. Shows you behind the scenes in Philly. Show you that there is more to life than the football we all love. Shows you how these Eagle men put God #1every day, not just on game day when the cameras were rolling. Great job by Rob Maaddi!

A really good read. Not only are you exposed to the central theme of the depths of personal Christian faith for many players, but to read about the ups and downs of the decision making process that brought this team together through struggle gives the reader an idea of the intricacies of the business of football.
