What is the gear ratio between wheel and brushes?

Will this unit pick up lawn clippings on a thick bluegrass/rye grass lawn or is it just intended for leaves and debris?

It looks like there is NOT a cover on the hopper that would prevent leaves from rolling/blowing out as some models have. Am I correct? Thanks.

Has anyone mowed and swept (in the offset position) with it at the same time? Does that work? Does it pull straight?
