Larger than expected
The media could not be loaded. It clips well. I like how it catches the nails, so no more mess to clean up. I like that this has a flat edge because you are supposed to cut your toe nails flat to avoid ingrown toenails. It has a nail file built in. It’s large and easy to grip. I purchased 2.

Best nail clipper
I have tried dozens of nail clipper brands. Nothing come close to Kai. It is well made with Japanese quality. Nice and sharp, and it lasts.I will not buy any other nail clippers unless it is made by Kai.

I like my nails slightly curvier so it takes me three ...
It's big, for sure, and quite sharp as well, so the nail will need to be filed. Because it has a straight edge it makes it easier if you want the boxy look, I like my nails slightly curvier so it takes me three cuts and filing for each nail.

Gave it a try.....glad i did
I have tried so many different and sometimes very pricey nail clippers. For one reason or another (difficult to grip, not sharp enough for the crisp cutting I want, awkward to hold, they come apart too easily) all have been disappointing...until now. These clippers cut like surgical blades.....a loud click and the job is done. Yes...there's no cuticle "cleaner" or whatever that thing is supposed to do. I have plenty of cheap alternatives around the house. The little metal emery board on the "handle" is convenient and keeps my fingers from slipping, too. This is a fine product and much less expensive than I have paid in recent years on Amazon for supposedly great nail clippers. People keep trying to swipe them when I take them out of my pocket for a much needed clip.

Very Large / Not practical
I guess these were larger than what I expected after reading the reviews for these and other nail clippers. They almost seemed like a joke. I did try to use them, on my toe nails, however even though they cut through the nail good they made very strange cuts. Cuts were uneven and very, very hard to cut the area on the outer edge of the nail. The file on the clippers did work but again the clippers themselves are so large and clumsy to handle this was hard to do. I will have to get a pair that work since these won’t do.

very sharp
Once I traveled to Hong Kong and I bought a nail clipper in some store which I couldnt remember. It is made in Japan. It is the most amazing nail clipper I ever have. It effortlessly clips the nails away as if they were melted away. I tried to find another one like it in the US in stores and online. I spent over $50.00 to find another like it and just not able to. A Japanese student told me Kai nail clipper is very well known in Japan. I thought sure enough this is it. It's a little pricy but I have to get it. It turns out it is better than ALL the other ones that I bought but it's just not nearly as good as the I got in Hong Kong. This nail clipper is very sharp but the one fr HK is amazing.
