Replaced a cable from 10 year old macbook pro. Fixed machine being sluggish. MBPs are known to have bad HDD cables over time. If you have a really sluggish machine - I recommend you try replacing the cable first.

A tiempo y funcionando
Llegó con días de anticipación y en buen estado. No tuve problemas de instalación y funciona bien hasta ahora. Solo un detalle: el sensor infrarrojo estaba un poco inclinado y el conector que incluye en esa parte tiene un seguro muy delicado. Revivió mi laptop pero es demasiado pronto para dar una opinión objetiva. Probare unas semanas y actualizaré este comentario. Por lo demás, el servicio excelente y sin demoras.

El cable funciono muy bien sin problemas, lo único ojala y cuiden del envió ya que la caja en la que llega el cable se dobla un poco. pero no afecta al menos en mi caso el funcionamiento.

It Works! Simple As That
6 months ago, my 2012 MacBook Pro stopped recognizing my SSD. I swapped in the stock HDD and still was having issues. I was afraid it was the logic board but didn't have the ability to investigate it on my own. Finally decided to take it into the local Apple store, who confirmed the issue was just the cable. The tech quoted me at $120 but suggested I just buy the part and do it myself. Apparently, this has been happening a lot in my area with these older MacBooks. I ordered this cable on Friday around 5:30pm, got it today (Sunday) at 12:00pm and voila, here I am typing on my old MacBook Pro!Installation was fairly easy. I have big hands so I had a hard time connecting a tiny ribbon cable to the new cable. Would definitely recommend having some tweezers in addition to precision screwdrivers. I was doing this in my office and forgot to grab my tweezers, but was able to fashion some paperclips into "tweezers", which worked just fine.Since it has only been a few hours, I'll update this review later on if I encounter any issues. For right now, though, I'm just glad to have my MacBook back.
