Great So Far
Ordered this scale to replace a Taylor 7506 scale that died on me after only 18 months. So far, so good. The scale is very accurate, to the point where I can stand on it, take off my shirt, and it'll deduct the weight.Easy to use too, tap the center with your foot and wait until it displays '0.0'.I like the form factor of it, the platform is VERY large, easily big enough for my size ten feet. I think only an NBA center would find it too small. The scale looks very good in-person, like a big slab of obsidian or something. Very classy.I also like the *BIG* LCD screen, very easy to read. I'm thinking of buying one for my mother, who's in her seventies.Downsides? It picks up fingerprints really easily. And I don't like how the screen flashes your weight for 30 seconds after a weigh-in... I think that's probably not great for the battery life, and should be changeable somehow. That said, you can make it stop flashing by tapping the scale again with your foot (stops after about 5 seconds then).Really great scale, if it keeps holding up and lasts longer than the Taylor.

Great scale
I use this scale to monitor my weight although you can use it for weighing anything. It seems very accurate and the digital reading is very large making it very easy to read.

Faulty product, did not work right at all
After much researching and reading online reviews, I really thought that Tanita made high quality digital scales. So, I was pretty disappointed when I got this scale, it just didn't work right. It worked ok a few times when I first set it up, and it gave a repeatable weight, but after a few more times it just stopped working. I would step on the scale and it wouldn't light up at all, even after standing on it for more than a minute. Tried this several times, and it would never light up when I stepped on it. I would re-seat the batteries, and the display would flash "8888" as it's supposed to when you first power it up, and it would just freeze there, with no change in the display after several minutes, it just read "8888". I would re-seat the batteries again, it would flash "8888" and then read "0.0 lbs" as its supposed to. It would then turn off, but would not light up again when I stepped on it. I let it sit for several minutes, and it still would not light when I stepped on it. I could hear the sensor click when I stepped on it, but it wouldn't light up. I used the as-supplied batteries, and also fresh Duracells, and I got either no display at all, a stuck "8888" display, or inconsistent results (weight would vary by 5 pounds or more from the previous reading). I'm no where near the weight limit of the scale, and it was placed on a smooth, level tile surface. I did all this testing in one evening, so it's not like the humidity or anything changed the behavior over time. It's just a faulty product.

Great, Accurate Scale
Pros: Accurate. Tested accurate across multiple different scales, and on a doctor scale. Even when purposely attempting to throw off the reading (standing on one foot, shifting weight, etc) it still comes in with .2 lbs of the actual reading. Very large display, very easy to read. The scale itself is a bit large, making it easy for anyone to fit their feet on.Cons: Not so much a con, as an annoyance. Once the scale "locks in" your weight, it flashes it for 30 seconds. I don't really need 30 seconds, and it can get annoying if others are waiting to use it.Other thoughts: Aside from working as intended, it has a very clean and sleek look to it. Switched to this from an older scale, and found my older scale was 6lbs off.

inaccurate scale
Scale was easy to set up and looked great. It is a big scale and may not fit in some bathrooms. My issue was how inaccurate it was. I set up scale and tried it six times in a row. Letting it properly reset each time. Every measurement was different! Some were up to a full pound different. Nice scale, but if you are looking for accuracy, this isn't your choice.

FANTASTIC Scale!
This is a GREAT scale. I did a lot of research before ordering this and with all the "Bathroom Scale Wars" going on out there (false reviews - or; as I should say, good reviews for free product) it made it a little difficult to know if this was going to be a really good scale. I went outside Amazon to review the scale in other areas and it convinced me to buy this. I am happy I did. I love this scale. It measures to the 1/10 of a pound. I had been to my doctor a few days before so I did not know my exact weight the day it arrived but fairly close and I knew that this was within that range of 1-2 pounds. The scale only requires a slight tap in the middle to activate it. It has a LARGE LCD screen that lights up in blue and makes it very easy to see. Once you have weighed; your weight flashes for about 30 seconds before it goes out. It takes 3 AAA batteries. I wish it took AA batteries but if that is my only complaint; it is not justifable. I would highly recomend this scale.

Very accurate, great for lightweight rowers
I'm a lightweight rower, so precision and accuracy both matter a lot to me. This scale displays the exact same weight as the professional grade scales used at our weigh ins. Unlike many other scales, it will also register small differences in weight from one measurement to the next. For example, if you step on the scale and then remove an item of clothing, it will show a reduced weight. Many scales will just display the same weight as before, creating a false sense of consistency. My two gripes: first, the scale is heavy. If it's just going to sit on your bathroom floor, that obviously doesn't matter, but if you're planning to travel with a scale, you might want to go a different direction. Second, the weight flashes on screen for about 30 seconds. It's not a big deal, but it's a little excessive.

Easy to read in light or dark
The scale seems accurate - quite easy to read - large blue lit numbers. I just wish there was a separate setting for more than one person but I knew this before buying it. We had this brand name previously and it has lasted a good many years so we wanted to make sure we bought the same brand.
