I like these phones. They have a lot of features for the price. Are they indestructible? No. I strongly recommend even a gel case for them. They do start to chip away up near the front top for some reason. I super glued mine back on but my kids lost the little pieces off of theirs. They still work though even in the shower. The camera is pure garbage though I'm sorry to report. They have face recognition, a finger print scanner, voice recognition, tap to pay proximity unlock, VPN and support wireless charging. Just don't over load it with unnecessary apps and loads of videos. It's not going to preform well all bloated up.

Kyocera's are some of the best phones I've ever had, both normal and rugged. I've wanted this one since it came out, but hate contract pricing so just had to be patient. Without a doubt a solid military grade phone that doesn't force all of the "bloatware" of Apple and Samsung. The directions even tell you to use soap and water to clean it. Worth every penny.

Not as durable and promised. I work at a power plant and this phone fell in a little bit of water and now the camera doesn't work, you need to turn it off so it can charge....

I think this phone may have worked ok with old versions of apps, but in 2018 this phone (and Android 6, which you can't change) isn't up to the task.It's slow. Painfully slow. I decided to return thus phone after taking a screenshot, which took 29 seconds - a very long press, selection of screenshot option, taking of screenshot - and even then I had to take 3 screenshots because I thought it had taken it but it hadn't so I switched tabs.and got a screenshot of the wrong thing. This is an example of how this phone works, there are others.You can't wake this phone fast. Every single time I wanted to wake my phone, I had to spend 20 seconds pushing every button in different sequence. I kept missing things like a good photo or being able to answer my phone.It wouldn't let my manage an ongoing phone call - it would give me instructions about how to operate the phone while I was trying to operate the phone, and the instructions were vague and meaningless, at the same time they prevented me from say talking on the darn phone.It is a battery hog! It's micro USB and can't keep up. After a nights charge, it was down below 15% by 10:30. Several times I had to pull over while driving with the phone plugged into the charger, to wait 15 minutes for the turned-off phone to charge - it couldn't handle even just Google Maps even plugged in.It had bad connections. My Bluetooth worked on several other phones without problem, but not this phone. It was so frustrating. It struggled with connection to mobile AND wireless. It was bad.

Like the phone, it is durable, have dropped it, gotten it wet, no problems. Battery life is decent.It is a heavy phone. Camera is not the greatest. I bought it for it's durability and to use as a phone, not a computer, so I cannot comment on its use for gaming.

I have had the phone 3 weeks it works perfectly on the t mobile network,5 bars and 4g in my area,my old s5 active barely worked after switching to t mobile,this phone is loud! I'm hard if hearing and that's important!I don't load my phone with useless social apps so the speed is super fast,very little bloat wear was on the phone,I found that an important plus!

I am familiar with the Duraforce pro, this was my third of this generation and I have had past generations of this phone for work purposes, it's tough, stands up to contractor and building environments with great results and usually very happy with this phone every time I drop it, leave it sitting in an unexpected rain storm or drop it out of the truck into a muddy jobsite puddle. They are breakable and I have managed to break the screens on 2 of them but believe me, they took a lot of abuse before finally giving up. This was the reason I searched out my third one and found it here as "renewed" and the price was great too so I ordered it and it came quickly from the seller, it looked fantastic, I would say it looked brand new even... but this is where my accolades stop. Setting up the new phone this time was harder, the phone seemed to be having troubles and crashing on set-up (I thought I was doing something wrong) so I would reset and after a few tries managed to get everything going but still problems, glitchy? processor stops unexpectedly and crashes the phone almost daily, finally trying a hard reset I would skip the normal transfer of all my apps and data (yep lost a lot doing that) and this time try installing one app at a time and see if this was an app causing the conflict but eventually even this try has the same effect, slowly stops functioning and need to hard reset the phone again just this time no app installs, just going with the onboard apps the phone comes with it has troubles, the screen is slow or not responsive to touch, thankfully the processor hadn't crashed for about a week but can tell very slow responses to touch commands... and then, yep, crashed... so this morning I picked up my old phone, same model just has a cracked screen and I remembered why I loved this phone normally, my old phone is responsive, some 40+ apps still installed on the phone sprang to life, notifications and effortless in navigating each, some I haven't seen in months because I was to afraid to install them on my "renewed" phone. I have now decided the phone I received obviously has an internal operating problem I'm sure was not something the seller knew was going on and I bought the phone 4 months ago, I'm sure out of the sellers warranty period so I'm back on Amazon looking for another phone but may skip the "renewed" and just find a good "used" phone. Just letting people know my experience. Cheers!
