Works great, kinda sensitive which is good... what I mean by sensitive is it only goes like halfway of the full travel and it closes, when the float moves towards the threads and nut is when it closes contacts

Failed open with a 24vdc pump which pulls a .51Amps as per the faceplate. Minor flood.

the leads are not water resistant nor water proof. If the leads get wet from humid area will cause these to fire.

I used this switch for water detection in a basement. The float can be reversed to change from normally open (NO) to normally closed (NC). this switch performed as advertised.

well made, great if you just need one switch... Runing a marine bilge pup thru it without a relay and it is good

This unit has served me well so far. I’m quite pleased with its clean contact signal and my cats appreciate fresh water from the attached solenoid.

I tried 12vDC and it stopped working the first time and my project was ruined!

I have had 3 of these short out while underwater and properly sealed and connected. At first I thought it was a one-off issue, but I go back to check my project and 2 more were shorted and keeping the pumps running. I am not sure if the pump they were controlling is permanently damaged due to this crap. After taking the first one out and letting it dry, it ceased being internally shorted, but I can not trust these again.
