This thing is awesome. It's hard to see what you are getting but instead of 12 separate caps, you get one green rubber thing that the caps are attached to. Inside out the markers splay out for use but when you put it in a concave position, they're all stored neatly in a purse-sized shape.

Fun and functional
I absolutely love these markers! With three kids (12, 5, 5) markers always end up on the floor without caps. This not only provides a "hang out" place for the markers but there are no caps to lose! Somehow it's much easier for kids to put things away when it's fun ;)I also thought I would mention that, despite other reviews, the tips of the markers have actually held up really well. We purchased these 3 years ago and the tips work great - and amazingly enough the markers still work! I'm about to buy two more sets for my twins so they don't have to use their big brother's set.(Pictured is the tips of the markers after 3 years)
