Good question. Since it says Holland on the package and is also marked on the product, I would venture they are made in Holland. I love mine and use them often. I’ve never had a problem. The handles of mine are wooden so I do hand wash them.

I Believe it was from Switzerland, only it is not of the best quality

The blade is stainless steel. It's not a super-sharp blade though for cutting cheese or pizza critical sharpness is not super important. Haven't sharpened it yet but plan to use a kitchen knife sharpener.
