Messages from Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Cards: A 44-Card Deck and Guidebook! Cards – December 1, 2008

We're a family of four with two elementary school age kids. We are not into the woo woo of new age spirituality, but I liked the idea of doing daily affirmations in the morning before we all head off to work and school. The animal theme of this deck appeals to kids and nature lovers alike with watercolor styled illustrations that are easy on the eyes.The messages are nice generic daily reminders to be the best you and should fit into anyone's spiritual practice or daily routine. The included booklet offers further advice if you need more inspiration than the line printed on the card.I'm confused by some of the other reviews who compare this to Native American spirituality, as nothing about this deck comes across as Native American to me. The artwork doesn't lean NA and the animal species span the globe with Kiwi, Platypus, Zebra and so on.The cards seem like good quality. They are a bit wider than regular playing cards, which makes it a bit more difficult for my small hands to shuffle, so I'll rely husband's larger hands for that. The box is sturdy and looks like it will hold up well.All in all, good buy and I think we'll enjoy having the animals give us motivational quotes in the days ahead.

I was a bit nervous about trying oracle decks due to some past unpleasant experiences with Tarot. Until a pagan friend of mine recommended to me this gentle yet compelling deck. From the moment I opened the box and felt the cards in my hands, I could feel a strongly positive enery in them. You do not have to be a Shamanic practitioner to benefit from the messages and gifts these animal spirits bring. In the guidebook, Dr. Farmer is your wise and gentle guide on your journey with animals. He tells you how to consecrate the deck, how to connect with the animal spirits, how to use breathing and grounding to deepen the connection. The cards themselves bring accurate and compelling information, 'real food' for thought, different ways and different perspectives of looking at a problem that I never would have dreamed of.The cards are large and sturdy and I love the antique look to them. The animals really seem to 'come alive' as you meditate on a card! And there was none of the nervousness that I had felt with tarot. I was able to truly open my mind and enjoy these oracle cards. I'll never go back to tarot again! I plan to order Dr. Farmer's Power Animals and Earth Magic next! Messages from your Animal Spirit Guides gets 10 stars from me. =) Finally, an oracle that really is meant to help and heal you instead of mess with your mind!

This oracle deck is beautiful and just what I needed for my collection! High quality cards and the book adds so much detail to every reading.

I have followed Dr. Farmer for some years now. I worked with his previous deck and have read 3 other titles and I always look forward to his new works. This one was a delight. It may seem over simplified to some, especially with the short statements on each card. But it is this open and relaxed presentation that I would recommend to anyone who is just beginning their research into animal guides. The statements he chose, lend to a very intuative experience without being overwhelming. And for those who are ready for more, the book that comes with the cards provides just the right amount of explanation and history to bring continuity to the reading.I have been reading various oracles for over 35 years and I been dedicated to a Shamanic Path for over 25. And even though this is a deck I would not hesitate to give to a new student, these cards move though my hands and my heart with such ease that I use it as one of my primary tools of study and introspection; and probably will continue to use "Animal Spirit Guides" well into the future. Thank you Dr. Farmer....

I have mixed feelings about this deck. Disclaimer: I haven't yet worked with (it) yet, so I can't and won't speak on any of that. However... Some of the artwork is beautiful, very watercolory/ soft pencil work, maybe? But some of the animals are a bit wonky looking *see the shark. I probably couldn't draw a better one though, so who am I to say anything? The card quality is hard stock while feeling like butter in my hands. Will be a dream to shuffle that's for sure. And, I DO LOVE the messages at the bottom of each card; I feel that they are helpful, relatable to the animal, and spot-on.You can see a full flip through of this deck on my YT channel

I’ve had these in my cart for awhile and I am so glad to have them in my hands. I love the Native American look of this deck, that is what drew me to them in the first place. Connecting with my spirit guides lately so thought it time to buy these. The card stock is sturdy but not too thick, size is perfect and shuffle great. Wonderful addition to my vast collection of oracle/tarot cards. BUY these!!!!

I LOVE these cards!!! they appealed to me much more than the animal spirits deck so I decided to get them. the card stock it perfect and i love the texture, it’s a nice sensory experience. The cards themselves are beautiful, my sister said that they looked like wanted posters lol! i love how each card has a very slight hue difference. the animals are beautiful and the descriptions are wonderful and uplifting!
