Good French press
I broke my French press and had to replace it quickly, because I need my coffee! This French press was a good price and the exact same size as the one I broke. The replacement came quickly and I was up and running with my cup of coffee!

Awesome French Press
I've owned a Bonjour French Press now for around 12 years (same model as this one save the extra screen filter at the lip) and I've never had any trouble with it. It makes as good of coffee as any method I've used (obviously not to be compared with Cappuccino) and only an electric percolator that brews right at 200 degrees has come close for me (I own most coffee makers known to man including an almost never used drip maker, a Turkish coffee pot, a mocha pot (that I don't use since getting a good espresso maker), a Presto percolator (awesome coffee too; not in the same realm as the old stovetop ones that could burn coffee which gave the percolator a bad name in the past) and a good quality espresso/cappuccino maker. The Bonjour French Press gets more use than all of them! It's so easy to use (in combination with a kettle) and I just rinse it out to clean it on a daily basis and throw it in the dishwasher once a week or so (comes out spotless without having to remove the carafe from the holder. The glass has held up to 12 years of use, probably 3 days a week over the years on average (sometimes I used the cappuccino maker and other times 7 days a week with the French Press and I get on Turkish coffee binges, etc. at times). The glass has held up. Just keep in mind "8 cups" is really about 3.5 normal sized 'mugs' (those cups are 6oz cups based on coffee history when cups were tea-size sets). I've known people that have had Bodum presses break, but I've bought this for friends and family and have never heard a complaint. I just bought another one for my mother who is sick of her Bunn maker (that if not used regularly needs cycled once to get hot coffee and isn't designed for small batches and like all drip makers I know doesn't brew coffee at its optimum temperature of ~200 degrees Fahrenheit (something the French Press and percolator excel at).

Works as designed.
It broke quickly - in the dish drainer when it lightly clinked another dish. I've been looking for something more durable but I do like the product functionality.

Changed to 5 Stars a couple years later
I like this french press, it makes good coffee.Pros:1) I had absolutely no issues with grounds in my coffee, which is one of my biggest concerns when buying a french press.2) It's relatively easy to clean, compared to others I have used.3) The pour spout makes it easy to pour with no mess, which is something I am particularly bad at!Cons:1) It doesn't quite make enough to fill up my coffee mug, but the larger size makes a little too much.2) The way the mesh is layered lets some of the grounds get trapped between. It isn't too big of a deal since I can get them out by running my nail between the layers, I just wish I didn't have to take that extra step and sometimes a ground can be particularly stubborn.Overall the cons are very minor and the pros very much outweigh them. I wish I could give this product 4.5 stars, it really is a great product.UPDATE: A couple years later I am still enjoying this French Press, it’s great! But a word of warning: the glass fits very tightly into frame, but is not actually attached. I found this out when I went to throw some grounds into the woods and sent the glass flying into a retaining wall! Not a commentary on the product, just a humorous story. I did, however, like the product enough that I bought another one after my moment of stupidity!

Breaks Easy Don't Be Reckless
Works Well But I am on my Third or is it 4th. Its glass I keep breaking them. So don't hold upside down and shake it to get used coffee out of it. Like I did 4 Times and the thing flies out of the holder. Don't Bounce it around in the sink either.

Didn’t last long
The glass cracked after a few months. No trauma or anything, didn’t drop or hit it, I think it’s just defective. I reached out to the company to see if they could replace and they never got back to me. Disappointed with the quality and customer service.

Great for coffee and wonderful for tea
The first thing to note when using a French press is that it's extremely important to grind the beans to the correct degree. If they are too fine, you will end up with a cup of sludge. It is also important to note that the longer the press sits with coffee and water in it, the stronger the drink will be. However, if used correctly, this press makes an excellent cup of coffee that I find far superior to cups made by drip coffee makers. My true love, though, is tea and I love to use this press for my tea. I have a nice Bodum glass teapot but I actually prefer using my Bonjour press when I make loose tea. The mesh in the filter is so fine that it does an excellent job of keeping small leaves out of my cup and in the bottom of the press. As with the coffee, though, it's best not to leave tea sitting in the press as it will get stronger and the taste of the tea will be ruined. I make sure to empty the press completely once my tea has brewed in order to avoid this problem.I've owned this model for years now and have never had a problem with it. I usually wash the carafe in the dishwasher (taking care where I place it, of course) and there's not a single chip or crack in it. This is a wonderful product.
