Complete Macerating toilet system
All three items (macerating pump, toilet, inlet pipe) appear to be of very good quality build and workmanship. I have not had a chance to install them yet, but the instructions are well written, and the installation appears to be pretty straightforward easy. Other reviews of Saniflo are generally very favorable and positive. Will return after the system has been working for an addendum of this review.

So far so good. Way better performing than the first two inexpensive pumps
Well worth the money. Has been working flawlessly since purchased. The first two inexpensive macerator pumps purchased were junk. I recommend spending a little more money and getting this pump.

Reliable
I just replaced my Saniplus after 18 years of service! The weakest part is the pressure sensitive membrane to start the pump. This membrane is in rubber, and after 18 years it deteriorate and became too sensitive. The pump will not stop working. It took me 90 minutes to replace the old with an identical one, but I had some experience removing it. My son threw his Juul in the toilet hoping no one will know, but it clogged the outflow pipe. Facing the toilet, my Saniplus is placed beyond the drywall mounted on steel frames with a 8 inches gap from the wall for piping, electricity, and insulation. Thanks to Saniflo, I was able to build a bathroom in my basement with a shower, sink and toilet. I also hooked up a sink from the laundry room to the Saniflo. The Saniflo sent the waste waters up 4 feet into the sewage pipe going to my septic tank. Almost 20 years of constant usage, that is remarkable.

Try to find something better if you can
I bought this for a suite I was turning my garage into. Figured it would be better than going through all the trouble and expense of tearing up the floor and installing real plumbing. I just ran this through the attic and connected it to another drain line. For awhile it worked nice and was great. It is a little loud, but i expected that. The problem came when it broke in less than a year from moderate use. I originally called customer service to see if this was meant for heavy use or just casual use and I was told it could be used for very heavy use and was rated at a very high number of flushes. So, it was surprising when it broke so soon. It breaking was not the worse part though, when i called tech support i was eventually advised to buy this one piece ($70). Later I found out that the piece is a very common problem in these pumps and a couple electrical engineer friends of mine who saw it told me why, it is too small, i guess saniflo did not have enough space in their machines for a bigger one, but instead went along with the design anyway. So, after replacing the piece it still did not work. I was then informed i could send it in for a free fix and they would ship it back for free... Great... but why did they not tell me this in the first place?? I guess i should of known better, but I had no idea it had a 1 year warranty and i explained when i bought it the first time i called... So, it cost me $20 to ship it to them and $70 for the piece that did not fix it anyway... Again why not just tell me to send it in the first place and save me some money? Later after receiving it I called to ask about a refund for the part since it was not the problem, i found out through my same engineer friends before i sent it that the problem was the motor was done. The tech support said there was something in the notes about the one piece.. i was like "yes obviously, I ordered that piece originally.. but sent it back with my unit with a note explaining (plus i had explained the whole refund situation before even sending the unit)"I gave up with that refund, and about 6 months later the unit broke again.. this time i just gave up on the unit (as it was out of warranty anyway).Just look elsewhere... it would be really bad to be in my situation, a finished studio/suite all done up but with a broken bathroom that was designed around this garbage pump so now I have to redesign the bathroom or tear apart half the suite to do proper plumbing, or spend $700 every few months for a new pump that will keep breaking,it is frustrating. Not worth it.

Very good but dependability issues
I have two of these installed and they are unique and incredibly useful for adding bathrooms and showers etc where it is difficult to add waste lines. That being said, both pumps failed, one with minimal use at around 5 years and one with moderate use at 6 years and I needed to replace them both in an emergency since you don't know if it is not going to work until the waste water starts overflowing...The new units are quieter and pretty well designed.

Added in a basement
My husband was able to install in my daughters basement, she had an exposed septic line and he ran pvc pipe up to it. He said instructions were easy to follow and did not have any issues. He is mechanically inclined and has experience with construction. He also attached a sink to the toilet and it has been working well with no problems.

Better design than the older models, one issue though if you're replacing an old pump with new
This is my second pump. My first one lasted 13 years (My washing machine discharges to the pump as well, so the motor saw a lot of action in 13 years). I can tell that this pump is a better design than the ones from years past. I feel that it's quieter. It also hooked up to my old toilet just fine. The only thing, ONLY THING, that's annoying is that the discharge hole and the vent hole are on opposite sides of the new pumps than they were on the older pumps (If you're putting this in new for the first time, then this isn't an issue. But if you're replacing an old pump, it's a little annoying. My first thought was to connect the discharge line first with as few parts as possible, and then re-work the vent line with whatever you need to do to make it work. Fortunately, I only had to add a 45 degree PVC elbow and small connector pipe to connect into the existing discharge line. To be honest, it really wasn't a big headache to get around (it's just something you'll want to know about beforehand so that it isn't a shock)). It took me about an hour and a half to put the new pump in place of the old pump and run some new pipe pieces.

Installation d’une toilette à macération avec un lavabo.
Le livret est bien détaillé et l’installation n’est pas terminée, mais tout est en place pour continuer les prochaines étapes comme le lavabo.

Great product
The last one lasted 15+ years. This unit fit like a glove and works perfectly with the existing bowl. I would recommend using the product

Good product
Had it for over a year now and it's still working great. You may have to buy some adapters tho which ended up costing me about $20
