This is my favorite pickle. Especially good with ham or a good ploughmans lunch

Of the various combinations that were available at the time I ordered with all variations of numbers of jars and the different jar sizes, this was the best deal at about $16.80 / kg. It's hard to find in the US, and the few specialty stores that sell it also have very high prices. For comparison it's less than $5 USD / kg in a UK supermarket like Tesco.The jars I got were well packed and had Jun 2022 best-by dates (from Nov 2020). They certainly won't last that long!The product is delicious - most commonly used on a sandwich with cheese, though I suspect anyone buying this from the US at such a price is already familiar with the product.

I had a craving for this and it was delivered fairly quickly safe and sound. Great packaging. The Sell By date is over a year away, and it tastes as good as I remember!!

There are two problems with the shipment of product I just received, each of which can be seen in the attached picture.First, the product is different from the picture shown on the Amazon page. I got the "Small Chunk" version of the product, while the Amazon page illustration showed the "Original" version. I prefer the Original, which is why I ordered it.Second, the product weight description on the Amazon page is misleading as it implies that each jar contains 720 grams of pickle, when in fact each jar contains only 360 grams for a total weight of 720 grams.I see another recent review with a similar complaint, and can only hope that these are cases of a simple operator shipping error rather than a deliberate company policy to effectively double the price of the product.As a long time Branston Pickle (Original) consumer, it's not worth the effort of returning this shipment, but I'll be a lot more careful about selecting a vendor in future.DR 7/21/21

I used to make terrible faces when my wife would order A1 Sauce, or ~ Gasp! ~ settle for catsup for her beautifully cooked restaurant steaks. I just couldn't understand why someone would think that meat was actually BETTER with something slathered all over it. Then, when we moved to the UK, a waiter asked if we would "care for some Branston." Now, Branston Pickle is very close to what A1 must have looked like before somebody put it through the puree cycle, but I'll be darned if it isn't an excellent go-with for an excellent steak! Prices this side of the pond are insane, but that's not enough to keep us from resupplying our pantry whenever we run low. Give it a try and you'll understand.

I've been curious to try this stuff for years and now that I finally have, all I can say about the flavor is that it is unique and unlike anything else I've ever tried. I don't care for it on its own, but it really does taste good with sharp cheese! I think it would also make an excellent burger topping and is definitely worth trying once just to see if you like it. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that I think I would prefer the small chunk that will stay where it's put better, so I'll buy that the next time.
