Love these. No pain
I'm lazy. I don't changey earrings out everyday. I spray them with alcohol and wiggle them around but I take them out about once a week, when I try to have a spa moment. So I used to sleep with the stud ends going into the side of my head. These don't hurt at all. They take some time to gracefully put them in but so worth it. Highly recommend for people with multiple piercings.

Make sure backs are properly screwed on
I almost skipped these after reading all of the reviews about people losing the backs, but I figured I would give them a try since they are one of the few 20g posts in this style.I'm pretty pleased with these for the price.PROS:The gems are pretty and sparkly. The variety of sizes is nice. They are stainless steel. I am sensitive to nickel, and other cheap metals, and these have not irritated my ears. Keep in mind that even the smallest gauge (20g) is still larger than a standard earring post. Those with unstretched piercings/ those who have only ever worn standard posts (nothing heavy, etc...) will end up stretching the piercing slightly. Even if it's not difficult to put in the earrings, they will stretch a standard post piercing. This may cause irritation, so it's worthwhile to try to determine whether the irritation is caused by stretching or not. I wouldn't recommend these for anyone with new piercings from an earring 'gun'. The larger gauge will definitely irritate a newly healed/healing piercing.I've had these in for about two weeks, and the backs have not come off and have not come loose. The key to this is to make sure the screw threads properly. If it's even slightly off, it will seem like it has screwed on, when it actually has not. There are only a few threads worth of rotation, otherwise the flat back would need to be thicker, so it's important to make sure they thread properly. One way to ensure this is to hold the back and turn the earring.CONS:The backs can be difficult to get off. I had to grip the backs of a couple of earrings with a cloth to get them off. After reading all of the reviews about lost backs, I tightened the backs securely and kept checking them each day for the first few days. However, I made sure they were threaded properly when I put them on, so now they seem to be on too securely.Because of the screw backs, they can't be worn the way an earring with a butterfly back can (snugly against the lobe). So the largest gems, which are heavy, do end up hanging weirdly in the earlobe, and they don't look nice. It's a shame because one (or two) of them can't be worn in an earlobe piercing.

They need a few manufacturing adjustments to be great
I wanted some classic durable earrings that I could sleep in without getting poked in the neck by a sharp post. These looked like they would fit the bill. They are durable and appear to be well made. They are classic and have a nice appearance. Here are my issues with them that resulted in the loss of two stars:1. I agree with other reviewers that the posts are too long. The tinier sized ones are not badly affected by this but the mid-sized to large ones have enough weight in the stone to hang down in front because there is just too much post. They look terrible! I had to cut clear rubber backings in half with an exacto and use them between the back of my ear and the screw on backing to keep the earrings fitted to the ear properly. This could be remedied by using a larger screw on backing (see #2).2. The threaded backing is ridiculously small.Seriously, you NEED to sleep in these things because you have to put them on the night before to have enough time to manipulate them into place. These are NOT a last minute decision! It usually takes me 8 to 15 minutes to get a pair of these on. No kidding. The spherical backs are so tiny that it takes multiple tries to get the hole lined up so that you can screw them onto the posts. The little suckers are hard to hold on to!Once I get them on-I wear the same pair for at least three days to avoid the hassle for awhile.Once they are on and I have my "post hack" in place so that the earring sit nicely I quite like them.A larger backing would solve both problems.
