Pleasantly surprised
This is extremely lightweight and I’m not convinced it is ‘stainless steel’. The lid is plastic and it feels like it could break if not careful when washing or if dropped on the floor, for instance. I almost returned it but I really liked the light blue color and the price point. I want to mainly use it for hot water for tea and Yerba mate. I can’t stand when my tea gets even a little lukewarm. So I heated up water in my kettle and transferred it to the carafe and tested it. To my surprise, the water inside stayed boiling hot all day. The actual carafe itself is not hot to the touch at all - except the top part by the lid is a little warm but would not burn if touched. I’ve used this carafe daily ever since I’ve bought it and am glad I kept it. I’m careful with the lid since it seems more fragile. So far, I’m giving it 5 stars and I will update if anything changes.

Sturdy, functional & kinda cute...
The media could not be loaded. I'm transitioning away from plastic use in my kitchen. A big thing for me was plastic iced tea containers, which have been used and enjoyed for years, that were starting to breakdown on the inside; not healthy. I wanted a safe, air-tight, easy to handle/use, long-lasting replacement. I was hoping for food grade stainless steel carafes, but nobody makes them, at least not yet. Borosilicate glass carafes are a disaster waiting to happen as they will break eventually. Enamelware pitchers are not widely available, are expensive, and lack lids. There are lots of stainless pitchers out there, also lidless. There are a few brand name big pitchers with lids that cost a fortune, but have no pour lip. That left insulated pitchers. There are many sizes and shapes available, so go measure where you plan to store it. The measurements given in the description for this pitcher are accurate. This particular design fits the fridge door perfectly, is easy to grasp and pour, maintains a tight seal so it doesn't spill when going in or out of the fridge, cleans up easily (hand-wash only), can be used outside at a picnic or at the dining table, and it looks really cute. I don't have to worry about injuries to paws or feet if it gets dropped, either. I bought 2 of them so we'll have enough iced tea for a gathering, or for 4-5 days of normal household use. I have no regrets; the transition away from plastic pitchers had been easy...long overdue.

Nice carafe!
I have just used the carafe once so far for keeping a liquid cold....worked like a gem. Liquid poured out nicely from the spout. I purchased the pink...it's even prettier than shown. Saw some complaints about the design of the opening being too small and lid not pulling back far enough. I personally did not find the opening to be problematic. Someone complained about leakage; I filled the carafe, pushed the lid down firmly then turned it upside down over the sink, it did not leak at all. Very pleased with this purchase.

A great looking item to keep a pot of coffee hot through dinner fantastic, for 8 hours, get a yeti
This is a nice decanter. I hoped it would keep coffee hot all day or at least for 12 hours. I realize it’s not a Yeti but it was given great reviews so I tried it. First of all the stainless steel is beautiful and the Carafe is large but looks sharp. It does keep things warm into the next day but heat dissipates through the dome lid which is chromed plastic. It seemed strange to create such a beautiful vacuumed carafe then put a plastic lid on it. I would have paid $5-10 more and been happier and I feel it would have worked better. However, this carafe is well worth the price and is really a very good looking item. I am happy with the purchase and use it every day. If you need your coffee or soup to stay hot for 3-6 hours this is a fantastic item. If you want it to stay hot for 24 hours this falls short but it’s also not $100! It does work for cold liquids a little better my guess is the plastic lid isn’t being steamed and doesn’t transfer the could away like I believe it does with hot liquids.

Plastic sprout coated in a metal like finish.
Nice appearance, but misleading advertising. The material is listed as stainless steel, and while most of it is, the spout is an exception. It looks metallic but is actually plastic with a metallic coating. Within less than a year, the coating peels off, revealing the plastic underneath, as shown in the photo. Worse yet, the peeling paint could potentially wash into your drink, very disturbing.

Warm not Hot
It is a lovely carafe and matches decor. If you needed something to stay warm for quick use, it is a good item. But if you need for your coffee to stay actually hot this is not the carafe for you. Within 2 hours, the coffee poured is still warm but not hot enough to add any cold creamer without it totally cooling off the coffee. I will have to replace this with a more expensive version in order to actually get that heat protection. Again, its lovely and I see it as a serving item but not a very useful day to day for hot drinks.

Kept cider hot!
So I filled this with hot apple cider to take to a volunteer event, but no one ended up drinking any. I went to pour the cider out more than 8 hours later and it was HOT. Like burn-your-tongue hot. I decided to experiment and leave it 24 hours. When I checked it after the 24 hours were up, it was still warm, about the perfect temperature for serving to children. I am very impressed with this carafe's ability to insulate. My only issues are that the lid/stopper doesn't seal very well (which it probably isn't meant to, but it'd be great if nothing would leak out if it falls over) and that the pour spout is so gently curved that the liquid can easily run a little to the left or right if you tilt the carafe a little too much one way or the other when pouring. I can work around those things. I am just really impressed with its ability to keep drinks hot, plus I really like how it looks.

Works really well
I purchased this to used for a family party. Our family are big coffee drinkers so I wanted something to hold the coffee and not get cold too quickly. It kept the coffee so hot/warm. I had placed coffee in it and didn’t clean it until well over 8 hours later and the coffee was still hot/warm. The lid does not come off which does make cleaning it a little awkward but I have a bottle brush the fits well for cleaning. The color blue is also very nice and subtle. Thinking of getting another one for hot water for tea.
