most comfortable.
I very much wanted a hammock to use around campus where I go to school, and looked at all the various options, and found a plethora of the polyester style hammocks which pack great and are very light, but after borrowing a buddies hammock of this style found it to be rather uncomfortable, and makes that annoying rustling of polyester sound with any move. If you are looking primarily for a hammock to bring on a camping trip, this is undoubtedly not the hammock for you, it is heavier, bulkier and absorbs water more than a polyester one would and just is most certainly not the option for you. That said, this hammock is perfect for me. I wanted a good quality, comfortable, cozy, sturdy hammock that I can bring with me around campus and sling up to do so home work or get a nap between classes or something. (living on a campus that is literally on a nature preserve makes it super easy to find a quick place to throw up a hammock for a little bit. In the 3ish weeks I have owned my hammock, I have used it maybe a dozen times, I love it. It is very much more comfortable than the packing polyester hammocks and it is made well enough hat I have no fears that it will give out on me anytime soon.side note: This hammock comes with two blue braided ropes both of roughly 5ish feet long that will work for a little bit if you have nothing to hang up the hammock, but i would recommend going to Home Depot and getting some rope (I found that two lengths of 10 feet work just perfectly for me)tl;dr - Not for camping. Very comfortable. Great buy. Get rope.

really, 4.5 stars
Pros:all the things the other reviewers said, including:Sturdy feel, light, convenient, comfortable, and inexpensive.Cons:I wanted to a star off for 2 reasons:1) I bought this after it showed up in a search for a Mayan Hammock (to replace an old one), however, despite of similar style, the hammock itself is clothe, and not of Mayan weave. It is still comfortable, but to be honest, the Mayan weave was better (which is just as inexpensive... except for shipping).2) You can't beat the price, but it should be noted that this hammock isn't meant to last very long (2~4 years). It's all fine and good, since I'd gladly pay to buy another, but they should note that in the description.

Quality product, rope asymmetry over time, too large for a collapsible stand
I bought this a few months ago to deal with back pain and joint stiffness caused by lying flat on a regular mattress. I've probably slept in it thirty times indoors.A few thoughts:* This style of hammock is dramatically preferable to anything with spreader bars. It's more comfortable, it molds around your body, and it's much more difficult to fall out of or flip.* This hammock is designed for people under 6' tall. I'm a little above that and found it slightly short for general use. Despite that, it's physically quite long. I have a large Coleman collapsible metal stand of the sort you might take car-camping. The ropes on this hammock were about two feet too long. It's really designed to be used outdoors (temporarily) or in an enclosed porch.* Hammock sleeping isn't flat. There's a curve in the middle and the two ends are elevated, even if the hammock is suspended tightly. I couldn't get used to having my head at an upward angle, so I'd scoot down until my back was in the hump, which meant my legs were elevated and hanging off the sides or on the ropes. Not ideal. You'll like this better if you're used to sleeping in a recliner or the like.* Over time, the cotton suspension ropes on one side stretched more than the other, so one side of the hammock is elevated at rest and it tilts about five degrees when I'm in it. The tilt is not objectionable and it hasn't caused me to fall out yet, but there isn't any way to adjust this. Weight capacity is otherwise high; at 175 lbs, I never felt at risk of damaging it.* The relatively thin hammock material allows a lot of air circulation. If you're prone to cold, you'll want more blankets or a bottom sheet. If you overheat, you'll like it.As far as my sleeping issues were concerned, I had mixed success. The first few nights, I'd wake up after a few hours and transfer to my regular bed. After a week or two, I could sleep through the night, but still woke up stiff because you can't shift around much in a hammock. I wasn't getting the upper back pain from before, though, so that was an improvement. I've since returned to my regular bed and have had decent rest after modifying the pillows I used. This hammock is an excellent value. I wouldn't expect it to last outdoors, though. It should taken in when not in use, or at least coated with a spray waterproofer. You can buy metal snap-clips and eye-screws at any hardware store that'll make it very easy to mount and dismount.

Great Hammock
There isn't a bad thing that I could say about this hammock. For the price, it is a great buy, and you'll find that it is the most comfortable rest you'll ever get. This has been my bed for almost 3 weeks now, and the only reason I would get rid of it is to upgrade to the double. In fact, I enjoyed this one so much, I have already ordered the double and it's on it's way. I am 5'11" and I find that it is easy for my feet to drop off the hammock. It's not a deal breaker, but the double promises to add the extra room I need to avoid this. The single isn't going to waste though. Instead, it will be moved into my living room for TV watching relaxation. I can't believe how comfortable this thing is!UPDATE 10/22/2013: I wanted to come back and provide further information about the hammock. I slept in the double for more than a year and enjoyed every comfy, swaying night. This is seriously the most relaxing sleep you can get. They are comfortable, easy to care for, and take up so little space. Ultimately, I switched it out for a bed but only because of a new girlfriend. While it's perfect to sleep one, two make it crowded and you find yourself waking up with every move. Stay single and keep your hammock! :)
