Good GY6. Fit my Go-Kart and runs good.
Works and fits good. My engine even came with the gear oil already in the engine. I used this for a replacement engine in an old go-Kart I am rebuilding. I had to get a new wiring harness kit but to me that wasn't a big deal. I also had to swap output shafts from my old engine but I knew I would need to do that because I couldn't find a 150cc with the small output shaft. All in all I think it was a good buy.

Easy install and runs good.
I was amazed at how much better this motor runs than any of the others i've had. It was super easy to install and it runs so good. Some of the electrical components didn't match up for my particular buggy but I was able to reuse some of my old stuff and its just fine. The company was really good at helping me sort out the one issue I had as well so they're good with supporting their product. 5 stars for sure!

Many things not correct for scooter pictured as to being a replacement motor for
This motor comes with a long output shaft that you will need to change in order to work on scooter pictured that takes a short shaft also it came with a AC stator and cdi that scooter takes a DC stator and cdi why they don't have that info is part of the reason it is returned so often also the exhaust that you need for this motor so far I have found only one and they want 300 bucks for it

Great motor replacement for Yerf Dog!!
The media could not be loaded. Bought this motor to replace the old Gy6 motor in my yerf dog go cart. It worked great. Filled it up with 15w-40 oil and filled up the gear oil with 80w-90. Thing started right up. Only difference was the yerf dog motor didn’t have a kick start but the exhaust still bolted up just fine and sat tight under the kick starter just fine. Also the rear shaft was longer where the chain hooks up so I used a spacer from Home Depot so I could tighten it up. Used the old electrical as some of it appeared to be different. Great product. Would buy it again. Original yerf dog engines they want $600. This one was $260 and was easy to figure out.

Works great
Started on first turn of the key. Installed in a Carter Talon 150. The voltage regulator wiring connector did not match my harness, but my old one still works. I used all the other parts that came with the motor and all of them worked. The output shaft that came in the motor worked with my external reverse system. The outer part of the swingarm housing reinforcement (cast into the housing), above the output shaft had to be modified by removing some material where the mounting yoke attaches to allow for chain clearance. The brake shoe pivot also had to be removed(replaced with the plug from old motor, required disassembly of gear box). The gear box came with oil in it. Will update after it has a few hours on it.

150cc go kart engine swap
Bought this motor for the intention to do a swap into a 150cc Carter go kart. To do the swap i had to take apart both the new and old engines to swap the old output shaft into the new engine. The old output on my old engine had splines that went further up the shaft to hold the driver chain gear. The new engine had an output shaft that had splines that run a small amount up the shaft. You may not have to do this on your go kart, this is what I had to do for mine. This shaft swap requires taking of the cvt, and opening the gearbox. This may only because of my reverse gearbox on my go kart, you may not have to do this. You also have to make a custom exhaust bracket because where your old exhaust bolts to on the cvt cover is replaced by the kickstart. Brackets were easy to make and hold it well. Also, there is a plug on the buttom of the case (near the output shaft) that extends on the new engine. I had to cut some of this off to clear my chain and gear. Also, my old engine had three wires (blue, white, and yellow) coming out of the engine, where the new engine has 6 or 5 (can’t remember). I had to solder on a new plug to the new wires coming out of the engine, but blue went to blue, yellow went to yellow, and white went to white. Your go kart may utilize all the wires coming out of the engine that mine doesn’t. After installation this motor worked flawlessly with the carburetor included with the engine. Runs great and has plenty of torque and power. Ran rich after first test, but turning the mixture screw all the way in and then 1 1/2 out fixed the issue. Gave it a 4 out of 5 for the modification that needs to be done. I put pictures of what must be done and a comparison of the output shafts in this review.

Great replacement engine for Carter Talon GX150IIR
This is a great replacement motor for a Carter talon GX150IIR go-cart. The exhaust off the Carter engine didn't mount the same on the new engine but was able to make it work for now. Had to use the coil off the old engine do to the one that came with it was to short. I recommend this engine.
