Excellent sandal for a new "walker" baby.

These are great summer shoes for toddlers, and I'm glad I bought them for my daughter. They don't slow her down at all and let her explore and play rough to her hearts content. However, they are hardly waterproof. She will splash in the water with them but they hold on to water, leaving her feet pruned by the time we're home, and they take AGES to dry and don't want to chance destroying them in the dryer. I'm going to have to get waterproof shoes for play where she'll get wet, but for dry activities these are fantastic.Pros: Flexible sole, two way padded adjustable straps, rubber toe bumpers, really nice soft padded insole with awesome arch support, great nonslip tread, cute and comfortable. She never gets raw spots or blisters.Cons: Very long velcro straps (only a con if your child has thin feet, otherwise this is a plus), not really waterproof as they take probably a good 48 hours to dry out. I took a star off for this.

My 2 yo daughter is beyond clumsy, she trips on her own feet constantly and I needed a pair of shoes that would give her some stability. These shoes were perfect, they’re very good quality and gave my daughter the stability (wide shoes with rubber for grip) she needed. They look very cute and are comfortable from what I can see as she usually complains about shoes and she didn’t about these. She wore them for the first time on a disney trip where we walked for over 8 hours and absolutely no blisters or pain appeared. These shoes do get wet but dry pretty fast.

We live in Florida and we have 3 children under 10. We go through a lot of sandals. I frequently can find used ones inexpensively and then I shrug when they break and toss them without a second thought. But for my youngest, at age 3, I can't always find something of suitable quality to protect tiny toes and support toddler activity. The brands I usually rely on for new were pricey while I was shopping and I decided to give this sandal a go. I was happy for a while. It seemed to be comfortable, she loved them, and I didn't see any signs that they were rubbing or anything. The soles are holding up fine and the construction - the places where the sandal upper will sometimes pull out of the soles - also seems fine after 3 months of use. BUT, around 2.5 months the velcro was wearing out. The fuzzy side of the velcro is pulling out and the sandals no longer stay on well. I'm going to try trimming it to see if I can extend its life that way, but I've never had this happen before and I'm kind of disappointed in that. Found her a pair of "used" sandals at my favorite place (which had the store tags on them, so they're new) so I'm back to that route. Since the velcro didn't last I won't be buying this brand again - at least not new!
